Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Exactly.

ONLY the liberals have a problem with 'labels'. Liberals run from that term like 'scared rats' (no pun intended),,,,when conservatives FLAUNT being called conservatives!!

Manure. We don’t include national security that much when discussing the GOP candidates and potential candidates because all of the them, except for a few bottom-tier players, are strong on national security.

It’s where they DIFFER that interests us right now, more so than where they hold the same positions.

The deformity provision was dropped shortly thereafter. The final statute permitted abortions in the case of forcible rape, incest, statutory rape if the victim was under 15 years old or if there was a "substantial risk" that continued pregnancy would "gravely impair" the "physical or mental health" of the mother.

What's your souce for the quotes on the '67 statute? Thanks.

AC—I dug up some of the original quotes by Reagan at the time the abortion bill passed in 1967 when he was governor of California. He was anything but liberal. Unfortunately, the law was interpreted over time much more liberally than it was intended. See my post for some of his quotes:

Peach was told the details time and time again. But she was so eager to paint Reagan as a pro-abort liberal, she tried to claim Reagan signed a SECOND abortion bill after being told of the significant limitations in the 1967 bill. Turns out, she got ahold of some bad Wikipedia info. But she saw what she wanted to see in her zeal to slime a conservative icon.

All of the quotes were from the Los Angeles Times. In the case of the paragraph you repeated, the entire second sentence was pretty much an exact quote from one article. My post used several different articles as a source.

First, I would support Thompson before Giuliani. Second, even your chart shows a deep drop in crime under Rudy. Third, I not only lived there and know for a fact that he brought crime down, I have heard it from a multitude of New Yorkers AND I have had meetings with now Miami Chief Timoney who has discussed how they did it.

Law enforcement under Rudy was a night/day change on every level. Further, you are now crediting the total left wing soft on crime David Dinkins with solving New York's crime problem? The mayor who was attending drug dealers' funerals?

Giuliani reduced crime as mayor, changed the culture AND battled organized crime as a US Attorney.

I would see your ridiculous and raise FOOLISH.

Addressing your Generals and saying "Win at all costs.", is not hard for someone who understands the danger.

St. Rudy of York does NOT have a monopoly on righteous anger where the WOT is concerned, posts by Rudi Krishnas to the contrary notwithstanding.
