The makers of a new Katie Couric documentary on gun violence deceptively edited an interview between Couric and a group of gun rights activists in an apparent attempt to embarrass the activists, an audio recording of the full interview shows.
At the 21:48 mark of Under the Gun a scene of Katie Couric interviewing members of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, a gun rights organization, is shown.
Couric can be heard in the interview asking activists from the group, “If there are no background checks for gun purchasers, how do you prevent felons or terrorists from purchasing a gun?”
The documentary then shows the activists sitting silently for nine awkward seconds, unable to provide an answer. It then cuts to the next scene. (SNIP)
However, raw audio of the interview between Katie Couric and the activists provided to the Washington Free Beacon shows the scene was deceptively edited. Instead of silence, Couric’s question is met immediately with answers from the activists. A back and forth between a number of the league’s members and Couric over the issue of background checks proceeds for more than four minutes after the original question is asked.

Follow on to article that was buried a couple days ago. Hmmm. Guess it had legs after all.
This doesn’t surprise me. During the 2008 campaign Couric interviewed Sarah Palin for about 9 hours spread over 3 days, and it was edited down to less than 30 minutes to make Palin look like an idiot. Sometimes they even edited the question, and her answer. In a couple of spots they had a question by Couric, and Palin’s answer to another question spliced in to make it look like she gave an answer totally unrelated to the question.
CBS has not to this very day released the full transcript of the actual 9 hours of interviews.
I don’t know her lifestyle preferences, but it is a fact that KATIE COURIC was one of the very regular jet-setters going out to Epstein’s ORGY ISLAND.

Interviews with the leftmedia should always be recorded. That’s exactly what VCDL did and now they’ve turned the tables a bit.

60 minutes invited him on, shot hours and hours of footage, then presto-changeo, spliced it high and low and make him look like a
CROSS-EYED, SLOBBERING IDIOT WITH A WET SPOT ON THE FRONT OF HIS TROUSERS.
they were obviously TERRIFIED of the great questions he raised, JUST LIKE TODAY.
It was such a hit piece that Ruddy marketed a follow-up vid, “The 60 Minutes Deception”.
GOD ONLY KNOWS why Ruddy is now falling all over himself, jumping for joy at what an amazing GENIUS Hitlery is, much like Ken Starr.

If the people at Virginia Citizens Defense League were stupid enough to think they would get “Fair and
Balanced” reporting from any member of the media, they deserve what they get.
I cannot for the life understand what they think they can accomplish by talking to ANYONE in the media, especially Katie Couric.

It’s a third-rate production, biased from the start.
I watched it knowing I would be appalled, but I did not waste my time watching the follow-up Q & A.
Well, I guess you’re not thinking it througn.
Most conservative grassroots organizations don’t have the sort of media budget that the gope and it’s enablers have. So they’re pretty much stuck with what they can generate on their own. And in the real world that requires dealing with the leftmedia to a certain extent.
And guess what? It usually works. Every once in a blue moon the leftmedia pulls a fast one. Or tries to. That’s one of the reasons why organizations like VCDL record interviews on their own.
So, what happened here? VCDL took a risk. They got snookered in the short run. But they win in the long run. They’ve already gotten far more positive publicity from this than they would have ever gotten if katie and her twits had simply done a fair interview. And their expensive piece of left propaganda is discredited from the start. Not a bad outcome all in all.
Katie WHO?
There is a simple way to stop this. Require that you are allowed to have somebody who represents you record the interview at the same time before EVER going on one of these shows.
Katie isn’t qualified to be a pizza waitress. Why would anyone trust her in anything else.
