A few months ago, “Ida” was sitting on top of the world. She’d been lauded as the “eighth wonder of the world” whose “impact on the world of palaeontology” would be like “an asteroid falling down to Earth.” Falling, indeed. On October 21, Nature published an article announcing that “[a] 37-million-year-old fossil primate from Egypt, described today in Nature, moves a controversial German fossil known as Ida out of the human lineage.” Wired also published a story, noting that, “[f]ar from spawning the ancestors of humans, the 47 million-year-old Darwinius seems merely to have gone extinct, leaving no descendants,” further..."...

Pyramid shape, O at center top, 911 in the middle, H1N1 at bottom. Peculiar headline formatting. The obvious interpretation is that Obama (O) declares a national emergency (911) due to swine flu pandemic (H1N1). But the formatting struck me as very odd - message within the message?

He had a story about Troop Morale and then suddenly switched back to a headline from yesterday about gold.

OK, we all know Obama talked to a bunch of phony MD's in white smocks today but why would Drudge link this article (Doctor's Protest) on his website that's nearly a month old...dated 09-10?

This morning Drudge had the headline "Dear Leader" under the giant picture of Obama in front of the white house. Apparenty the picture was created by using 4th graders as a source of slave labor.

Traditionally changes to economic data have been politically driven, including the change in focus from CPI to "core" CPI and from GNP to GDP. "Big revisions" in an activist government like Obama's is not a good sign.

Nothing else yet, but just this tidbit is quite telling! Does Obama have a giant do-over button or something?? Anyone know what this might be referring to??

I'm not sure I believe this. Credit to Drudge of course, but reproduced here as Matt's "smoking gun" page gets changed from time to time, and this one is too important to let slip beyond the inevitable 30-second-long public attention span. I checked out Drudge this morning for news. The site displayed a prominent advertisement at the top of the page about how to make thousands of dollars working at home, "posting links for Google." I'm looking for some extra cash, so I used Google to check this out, the key phrase being "Google Biz Kit" - it's scam. Some people's experiences are posted here. Don't get suckered into this stuff!

The first couple took full advantage of the cool spring night.
