Obama’s Convoluted TPP Agreement Is THREE TIMES AS LONG As The King James Bible [LIST]
The Daily Caller ^ | November 6, 2015 | Christian Datoc

The Obama Administration released the full-text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal on Thursday.

Tipping the scales at 5,544 pages — and an astonishing 2,056,560 words — the trade agreement is one of the longest documents The Daily Caller has ever encountered, and for the sake of comparison, we compiled a list of things shorter than the baffling proposal.

“What is it with liberals and their billion-word laws?”

So that the people who are paid to read them before passing them don’t bother to read them .

That’s so Obama can hide stuff that the members of Congress are too lazy to read or too stupid to understand. He probably has an entire Communist government structure in there somewhere that will go on after he leaves office, and Paul Ryan and the Dwarves will vote for it because God forbid that they should be blamed for a government shut-down by the Democrat media. Absolutely sickening. ( And they wonder why Middle Aged White Americans are dying in huge numbers.)

The art of camouflage by building a forest around the real intent of the law. Careful reading will show exactly whom Obama is “rewarding” and whom he is “screwing”.

I can’t say that the length of the KJV Bible is a good comparison except that it has been so readily twisted, contorted and excerpted. The bible does, however, have the advantage of not being written by Harvard Lawyers.

You can hide a lot of "stuff" that way by making people have to really spend a lot of time they don't want to looking. They figure uou'll just give up. You'll probably find, "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890-/:;()$&@.,?!'" repeated over and over throughout the text.../s

"What is it with liberals and their billion-word laws?"

Liberals believe in slogans for the masses, but the details of their laws are for their eyes only.

Didn’t Harry Reid have wording in one bill, that wasn’t passed, that would have made it illegal to overturn if it had been passed?

"What is it with liberals and their billion-word laws?"

I wish we could blame liberals, but I think more Republicans than Democrats voted for this law.

I think a constitutional amendment should be passed limiting the length of any legislation to - say - 5,000 to 10,000 words, if not less, so that the people who pass it can actually read it.

Like Obamacare, no one read it, they will insist it be passed so we can find out what is in it, it comes with 6 cases of `White-out’ so it can be revised and improved as needed, the parts they don’t like will be ignored by the Ministry of Justice ... and so forth.

The Bible is an amazingly good unit of measure of data. Way back when we were first starting to see multi-megabyte disks and such, I was able to explain the amount of data pretty well using the bible as a unit of measure. You see, the KJV as just plain old ASCII is just a tad under 5MB. So, if you had a 40 MB disk (yeah, laughably small these days, but was HUGE back in the day), I could say that you could fit about 8 copies of the Bible on it.

Telling someone that the TPP is 15MB worth ot text means nothing to most folks, but saying it is as big as 3 Bibles, and they get a pretty good feel for how much text that is.
