Republicans won an impressive number of victories last night, including a larger and more conservative House majority and enough wins to give the GOP at least a 52-seat majority in the Senate. As Jeffrey Anderson and Robert Laszewski have noted, Republicans made ObamaCare a major issue in the election (the New York Times denials notwithstanding). Senate Republicans will fall several seats short of the 60-vote super-majority needed to overcome a Democratic filibuster of an ObamaCare-repeal bill, though. ObamaCare opponents are therefore debating whether and how Republicans could repeal some or all of the law via the Senates budget reconciliation process, which allows certain legislation to pass the Senate with only 51 votes. Some opponents have proposed getting around these difficulties by getting rid of the filibuster entirely. I think theres a more prudent, targeted way Republicans could put ObamaCare repeal on the presidents desk , give Democrats a taste of their own majoritarian medicine , and convince Senate Democrats of the virtues of restoring the filibuster on legislation and judicial nominations.

Unfortunately elected Republicans always want to show they are nice people and won’t use the same tactics that the dims use. What is really irritating about this is that it is the only way to get them to play fair; they squeal like pigs when their tactics are used against them.
Boehner and McConnell remain supportive of Obola’s agendae
and especially ObamaCARE (based on the GOP’s ROmneyCARE).
Nothing will change as long as these enablers
and cowards are in power supporting their undocumented
Communist Indonesian.
What’s the point, as long as Obama is President?
Might as well wait until 2017 and pray that Hillary Clinton isn’t the one sitting in the White House.
Its ALWAYS wait.
Time for scorched earth, bridge burning tactics.
Agreed, and if the Pubbies start ramming conservative policy through Congress like a pile driver setting fence posts, I just might have a renewed interest in contributing and voting Republican.
Remember GOP, cash on delivery.
They should push a bill through, just to make clear to voters that the Dems own Obamacare. They won’t get it past a veto, though.
For one thing, forcing Obama to veto the bill has its political advantages.
For another, given the landscape of Senate races in 2016 (and the differences between a mid-term electorate and a Presidential electorate), the GOP may well not hold the Senate in 2016.
Even simpler solution, defund ObamaCare. It’s even veto proof.
The dilemma is that 'Rats are perennially trying to tear down the Republic and pubs trying to repair the damage.
If it was summer time at the beach, repubs would be building the sand castles, and 'Rats would be jumping on it and demolishing it.

undocumented?- easy enough to trace and find out-
communist?- same
Also, O’bummer is NOT Christian- he is a hateful muuuslim
Documented in his book

saying it interviews.
We are so screwed.. boner,mclame- and many more repugs
I believe work hand in hand with the Demonrats-
200 YEARS! of senate filibuster rules thrown out by
dirtbag harry reid!- there is NO TURNING BACK now!!
the NEXT time the Demons get in the Senate... they will
Automatically change any “rule” that suits them
If the courts continue to uphold the ruling that the Federal Exchange cannot offer subsidies then Obamacare will lose it’s major drawing card. All the GOP has to do then is simply obey the law (yes, a new concept) and de-fund that aspect of Obamacare. That will be a big step.
From now until the day the new President is elected, Republicans should have a press conference saying exactly what they put in the Presidents desk.
Make it difficult for the MSM to cover for Obama.
Mitch will never do this.
How will Republicans get even 51 votes with disguised Democrat senators like Mark Kirk, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski on “our side?”
I thought Harry Reid changed the rules so as to eliminate the filibuster. So, McConnell can leave the rules as they are. Problem solved.
McConnell better not chicken out. The new Senate should ask him if he is going to require 60 votes to pass legislation from the House before they have the vote for Leader. If he is going to be a coward, he shouldn’t have the job.
Obama is so radioactive, his own party will bVe to impeach him. Come the 2016 elections. The Dems will kiss their butts goodbye for the next 50 years if he is not removed from office.
Could we rephrase that in to something a bit less...left sounding? How about "The time for civil discourse with the liberals has passed"?
“This is the time for civil discourse, filibustering is not civil!”
