Unfortunately elected Republicans always want to show they are nice people and won’t use the same tactics that the dims use. What is really irritating about this is that it is the only way to get them to play fair; they squeal like pigs when their tactics are used against them.
Boehner and McConnell remain supportive of Obola’s agendae
and especially ObamaCARE (based on the GOP’s ROmneyCARE).
Nothing will change as long as these enablers
and cowards are in power supporting their undocumented
Communist Indonesian.
What’s the point, as long as Obama is President?
Might as well wait until 2017 and pray that Hillary Clinton isn’t the one sitting in the White House.
Agreed, and if the Pubbies start ramming conservative policy through Congress like a pile driver setting fence posts, I just might have a renewed interest in contributing and voting Republican.
Remember GOP, cash on delivery.
They should push a bill through, just to make clear to voters that the Dems own Obamacare. They won’t get it past a veto, though.
Even simpler solution, defund ObamaCare. It’s even veto proof.
If the courts continue to uphold the ruling that the Federal Exchange cannot offer subsidies then Obamacare will lose it’s major drawing card. All the GOP has to do then is simply obey the law (yes, a new concept) and de-fund that aspect of Obamacare. That will be a big step.
Mitch will never do this.
How will Republicans get even 51 votes with disguised Democrat senators like Mark Kirk, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski on “our side?”
I thought Harry Reid changed the rules so as to eliminate the filibuster. So, McConnell can leave the rules as they are. Problem solved.
McConnell better not chicken out. The new Senate should ask him if he is going to require 60 votes to pass legislation from the House before they have the vote for Leader. If he is going to be a coward, he shouldn’t have the job.
GOPe Uniparty OP’s and nuking? Don’t think so.
Constitutionalists/T.E.A. Partiers have to nuke the GOPe first.
The ACA repeal legislation will never pass.
That beast has to be eaten by one bite at a time. The House and Senate need to just shred Obamacare via separate bills that strip away bits and pieces, and will probably have to make them riders to bills Obama will have to sign.
Let’s get the Democrats on the record re: Obamacare. My guess is they will abandon it after seeing what happened Tuesday
The Republicans screamed bloody murder when the Democrats changed the rules on appointments. How do they suddenly say, “Hey, this is a great idea” without looking more hypocritcal than usual?
There are so many articles and columns cautioning the Senate GOP against bringing back the filibuster, that it’s quite clear national expectations for them is very low, with the added vision of McConnell et al caving on the nuclear option issue. What many expect to happen is just the sort of right-out-of-the-chute surrender like that committed by Trent Lott in 2001.
Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
