The Truth Is What We Say It Is

I have a hard time sifting through some of the news I find in the newspaper, some of the reports I hear on TV networks and cable, and much of what Congress and the Administration tells us on almost a daily basis. I find that what I hear and read doesn’t often seem plausible, that some of it is downright lies or misleading.

Truth is like facts…stubborn stuff to ignore…therefore, to deceive, it has to be twisted or re-worded or hidden in order to put forth a message that the author wants to send. In this case, the authors are the press and media, and politicians…particularly our Congress and Administration. Unfortunately, the ‘truth is NOT often what they say it is’.

Start with Obama…who is he? Where did he come from? Why is it so difficult to learn much about him other than what he lets out from time to time? We seem to know much more about other politicians, particularly those who run for president! So much about Obama’s upbringing, his education, his relationships with people, and his true positions on a variety of important issues just don’t get much airing by the media and press, and are not forthcoming from him. He has conflicting bio’s…he has several social security numbers, he has made conflicting comments in his books, and it is difficult if not impossible to learn much about his years in school at all levels of education. Why? Who is he? Can we believe what he tells us?

Is President Obama a socialist? He says he is not, that the truth is he is not a socialist. If that is the case, why was he a community organizer? Community organizing is grass roots socialism. He says ‘other more equal’ economies do better than us, that our economy is ‘on your own economics’…he says that in the face of over 230 years of free market capitalism that has taken us from the horse and carriage to landing a man on the moon! He says ‘we need to share the wealth’…if that is not a socialistic principle, what is it? He says ‘we are greater together than alone’, a statement that has the sound of moving away from individualism to a community of people who share everything on an equal basis…speaking of equal basis, he constantly laments the ‘inequality’ in our country…why? Because he is a socialist, and the truth is what he says it is!

Ever follow the jobs reports? According to the BLS, the unemployment rate is coming down to about 8%, when in fact if we include those who just stopped looking even though they want a job, the rate is closer to 16%. Every week we read that applications for unemployment are lower than expected…but the following month they are quietly revised upward. By November, 2012, you can bet the rate will be below 8%. Sound like a plan? Of course it’s a plan…it misleads the people to make them think the economy is getting better…the truth is what they say it is…I don’t think so!

He says he saved GM…in fact, he gave GM our money and he gave over 17% of the company to the UAW as a payback for union support in 2008 and he hopes in 2012! What is the truth? Not what they say it is!

He says his stimulus plan is bringing jobs back to our economy, that he put money into ‘shovel ready projects’. He isn’t providing a climate for job creation…he and Congress are providing a climate where jobs won’t be created…business regulations and uncertainty about taxes is killing our economy and holding back hiring. His stimulus plan simply rewarded his supporters, and didn’t stimulate anything but votes. He has admitted there were no shovel ready projects. But, the truth is what they said it was at the time.

Is the Affordable Care Act really health care reform? Or is it the beginning of socialized medicine where private insurers are put out of business and the government gets more control over our lives. Did we know that he was literally stripping Medicare of billions? He said ‘if we like our current insurance coverage, we can keep it’…the Act set penalties for businesses who don’t provide health insurance…that penalty is lower than the cost of providing insurance…is the plan for businesses to drop insurance? You can’t keep what isn’t available any longer! Mandates in the Act will force insurance rates to rise. Is that all a plan to reduce private insurance coverage so that universal health care is needed? That’s my bet! Did we know what was in the Act? Did the congressmen who voted for it know? We now know what it is all about. The truth was what they told us...NOT!

Obama wants to increase taxes on the wealthy [the 1%]…he wants them to pay for government spending that is out of control even though taking all their income wouldn’t make a dent…he doesn’t want us to know where all the money is going, so he doesn’t produce a budget through the Senate. He says he just wants everyone to pay their ‘fair share’…since the 1% pay 70% of all the tax revenue annually, and since nearly 50% of us pay no federal income taxes, what the hell is fair about that? The fact is Obama is trying to destroy wealth creation which will discourage economic growth and destroy capitalism and make socialism easier to install. The truth is what they say it is…it’s only ‘fair’ they say.

Our president tells us that we don’t have enough oil and gas reserves [only 2% of the worlds’ oil supply], that coal is evil, and that green energy is the answer. He says we are producing more oil under his administration than the previous administration…none of this is true…oil production increases are coming from existing sources…his administration has made it virtually impossible to open new oil supplies. We have plenty of reserves, and we have NO energy policy. Once again, the truth is what they say it is…and too many of us continue to buy into it blindly!

I could go on and on with examples of the lies and deception coming from the White House and the Congress, and the failure of the mainstream media and press to talk about the truth. Don’t take my word for it…read carefully, listen attentively, do your own research…don’t trust, do verify. The truth is NOT what they say it is!

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, receive it, and then deny he was a foreigner later in his life.

First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in. (How is that even possible??)

First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States

First President to violate the War Powers Act. (Libya,the Sudan, the Congo and Central African Republic.)

First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

First President to defy a Federal Judge's court order to cease implementing the Health Care Reform Law.

First President to require all Americans to purchase a product, many of them don't need or want, from a third party.

First President to spend over a trillion dollars on 'shovel-ready' jobs when there was no such thing as 'shovel-ready' jobs.

First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his donors and supporters.

First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat, instead of getting the illegal immigration problem adressed by all of the government.

First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S. , including those with criminal convictions.

First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees. (BP)

First President to end America’s ability to put a man in space.

First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present, so he could stay on vacation.

First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law he doesn't agree with, unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it.

First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke-out on the reasons for their rate increases.

First President to tell a major manufacturing company in which state it is allowed to locate a factory. (Boeing)

First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN...., immigration lawsuits).

First President to withdraw an existing coal permit that had been properly issued years ago.

First President to fire an inspector general of Ameri-corps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case.

First President to appoint 45 czars to replace elected officials in his office.

First President to golf 73 separate times in his first two and a half years in office, 90+ to date.

First President to hide his past medical, educational and travel records.

First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.

First President to go on multiple global 'apology tours'.

First President to go on 17 lavish vacations, including date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends, paid for by the taxpayer.

First President to have 22 personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife.

First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense, and to have that pet flown on government jet to be with the family on vacation.

First President to repeat "the Holy Qur’an tells us", and that, "the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth".

First President to take a 17 day vacation.

So, how is this hope and change working out for you?

This type of lie unfortunately flaws the article.
Community organizing is agnostic of ideology, especially Alinsky organizing... which is just one of many, many schools of community organizing... And, of course, within Alinsky organizing there are many, many different schools. The ACORN school is totally different from the Trap-NTIC school, which is different from the Gaudette school (the variation I was first exposed to) which is different from the TWO school, which is different from the Rochester school (eg Jack Kemp).

Mel Gibson was a community organizer in Braveheart and The Patriot. Every person who gets people to a freeper event or a tea party event is a community organizer. And yes, Mel Gibson used pure Alinsky in those movies.

I know this is not the freeper talking point. But it is the fact. Unfortunately conservatives often fall into the same falsehoods as truth that progressives do. That is our weakness. We win when we have the facts and logic. We lose when we spread falsehoods like the falsehoods about community organizing.

If you think the so-called downtrodden need to be prodded by these types to get off the couch or out of the bed to get something done, then you should feel pity towards these lowlife scumbags and THEIR COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS!

I certainly hope that your ox wasn’t gored here, but if it has then I feel sorry for you that you have to derive your livlihood from rabble-rousing as a ‘community organizer’ just like Obomba!

Which is why when you try to argue with a liberal, supporting an opinion with facts and reasoning, they usually wind up getting angry.

When you try to prove to a liberal that there opinion is wrong, they feel that you are attacking them as a person because there world view is completely enmeshed with how they feel.

IbJensen, how many community organizers do you personally know? How many in your lifetime? A community organizer is a person who organizes a “community”. That “community” cn be a georgraphic neighbors organizing against a property tax increase, or organizing against a planned-parenthood-clinic, or against a cut in welfare payments, or anything. Organizing a youth ball team is community organizing. Organizing people to attend a new church is community organizing.

Exactly the same tactics are used for organizing for causes of the left, the right and non-political causes. Some tactics are less ethical than other tactics. Both ethical and not-so-ethical tactics have been used by both the right, left and non-political.

Some tactics are effective; some not so effective.
For example, Alinsky advocates personalizing-the-enemy. We do that with Pelosi, Reid and Obama just as much as they do it. A few of the teaparty congressmen who won in 2010 won because they ran against Pelosi/Obama and not against their actual opponent.

You, it is plain to see, have known many even to the point of joining their ranks.

‘Community Organizers’ are nothing less than ‘Community Agitators’ who busily go about their business of getting out the vote for the crumbs who populate the left in America.

They register and vote for names on tombstones. They are utterly useless to communities, but only enhance the mad scramble for the freebies from Uncle Whiskers.

The organizing of youth events by a person of Obomba’s ilk have to be rare and only to get some press coverage. The rest of their time is spent doing very little besides rabble rousing.

If welfare were cut off entirely, excepting for rare cases to be decided by the antithesis of Obomba’s Death Panels, the Community Organizers would be forced to seek gainful employment. Instead their festering creates more couch potatoes, pop tarts, etc., and misuse of a mountain of federal funds. In that they’re rather like politicians.
