Swine flu is causing unprecedented illness for so early in the fall including a worrisome count of child deaths and the government warned Friday that vaccine supplies will be even more scarce than expected through this month.

That’s a picky police point; I wonder if the statistics on the main are misleading.
The swine flu is a weak strain of flu. The problem is the bodys reaction to it. People with strong immune systems have more trouble with it because the immune system overreacts. Those with underdeveloped (not weak due to pre-existing conditions) immune systems have been just fine. I would bet that the children who have died are day-care kids. They have been exposed to so much and have great immune systems. The bodys reaction to the flu is almost like an auto-immune disorder.
Global warming (not)
If normalized for prevailing temperatures (not just calendar date), I wonder what the toll from ordinary flus would have been.
If this had been the case under the Bush administration, the MSM would have been calling for his head.
You are spouting utter unscientific nonsense. Immune system overreaction is why the Spanish flu was so deadly.
Beware of CDC info. If you look at flu deaths, they are deaths from flu and pneumonia. In other words people had pneumonia, got the flu as a secondary infection, then died. The American Lung Association has the data on how many people die each year from just the flu.
The vaccine does no good to those who are already immuno-compromised. In fact, it could make their conditions worse. As for me and my family, we will have no vaccines and will not take Tamiflu (side effects are frightening).
Really? What is the real reason then?
President Bush was on top of the stockpiling of Tamiflu based on fears over the Avian flu and others. Note - if you have H1N1 you need to get on the Tamiflu within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms. If one has the flu now, they almost definitely have H1N1 as the seasonal flu hasn't started yet.
LeBron Returns to Practice After Presumed Swine Flu
'Most reports of civilians catching swine flu include a high temperature, scratchy throat, and the worst aches they've ever felt. Jackson admitted that those were the symptoms he had been feeling, spending two days in bed and drinking a gallon of water a day.
"I can't remember ever being that sick," he said.
James said that he felt same symptoms, orchestrated the same routine and believes he has recovered. He said he believes he caught the bug from his teammates at practice, many of whom have been sick, too.'

You obviously know nothing about the immune system, so please stop spreading such nonsense.
Perhaps because everyone is freaking out about the slightest symptoms?
Internationally renowned vaccine researcher Dr. Sherri J. Tenpenny found that 70-80% of the sniffles, fevers and body aches generally characterized as “the flu” between 1999-2004 were not caused by influenza viruses, but by other organisms not covered by a vaccine.

Your comment suggests you know everything about the immune system. Please enlighten us all. I got my info from this doctor: http://painreleaseclinic.com/
He has been treating me and my family for years.
Take it from a person who is recovering from it - you are wrong.
In terms of strength, it’s not the worst flu I ever had - that was during the winter 94-95 season when I was IN BED IMMOBILE for 8 days straight.
But this is far worse than the common cold or slight allergic reaction - my temp peaked out early this morning(Friday morning) about 2 am at 102.1 degrees.
I’m very familiar with my usual temps and BP, etc, my normal temp at that time of day is 96.8-97.3
SO!!
All usual precautions!
Lots of fluids, I esp recommend reconstituted frozen lemonade (I mix it like 2.5 or 3 to one, when I’m sick, which is rare, it’s more like a food to me than a drink
The old true blue standbye chicken soup Hey, it works, and is soothing on the respiratory track
more fluids
eggs!!!! Eggsactly the kind of protein your body needs to beef up your immune system - if you are all that dang worried about your cholesterol, eat some eggs today, and tomorrow eat have a bale of alfalfa or whatever
saline nasal spray - you don’t get alot of dates when you wake up in the morning with this crusty stuff around your nose...
chloroseptic because you WILL have a sore throat..
cough drops
Vit E
Vit D
Vit C
Vit B6
zinc
magnesium
have some ice cream around all milk dairy products help in clearing out congestion
I like to have some fresh fruit around grapes plums whatever...
a gorgeous redhead is optional but I couldn’t find any on sale at Walgreens...
It does seem to be true that people are getting sick early this year.
In other words, "run out NOW and get-it-while-you-can!" I may end up eating my words, but this sounds like a pitch to get people to stampede the doorways to get the vaccination when they know many people are leery of it and avoiding it.
On Wednesday we went down to 14% and Thursday 13%.
You state you don’t believe CDC info and then you cite a doctor whose entire article is filled with CDC statistics. You don’t even read the articles you cite! What does that say about you?
Just from reading one post of yours it is obvious you know NOTHING about the immune system, nor are you capable of understanding the basic statistics regarding the incidence or prevalence of H1N1.
