Ah .. an intelligent voice.
French Intel is good. French politics is bad. Most politicians (anywhere) are bad for our well being. - Ya gotta do what ya gotta do for survival. Did the French F*ck up? Ya - and they are still here? Yes - with a "little" help from the US.
We are all in this together - they will come around - they already are by banning "scarfs" ..
Some people hate Bush - some hate France and Germany - to hate one because of his/her nationality, race or politics is innapropriate and ignorant.
To have an issue with a specific point is engaging.
All Texans are Rednecks is stupid.
Generalizations of anything is wrong. Go for the specifics and be surprised.

Hopefully US forces are closing in on them as we type There are no official US military forces in France. De Gaulle kicked us out back in 66.
JMO, the french, with their track record during the buildup towards liberating Iraq, consider the US(Bush in particular) a bigger enemy than saddam.
Kinda of analogous to the way Deaniacs consider Hallibirton more evil than saddam.

The French are our enemies. You can bury your head but those are the facts. They're socialist and they hate Americans. Wake up.

Generalizations of anything is wrong. Go for the specifics and be surprised. And france's track record of not supporting the US and the coalition for getting rid of saddam is what, chopped liver?

Hopefully there was a CIA team outside to kidnap them when they were released. Let the CIA hook em up to truck batteries and gather all the information you mention quickly.

Loved the pic. It's a keeper.

LOL! Sounds good to me. I believe the 6 are paranoid as hell right now.
To: go star go
Infuriating, but about what I'd expect from the French.

Lets hope it was so they could be followed and tracked to their feckless leader.

They were already on a watch list, which means their terroristic potential was
more substantial than a vague suggestion that they "might" be up to no good. Intel in the past week picked up a pattern of chatter strongly suggesting a team of terrorists would attempt a 9/11 style attack on the US. These men then manifested to board a flight to LA using the same M.O. (about half a dozen men, one of them a licensed pilot) that the 9/11 terrorists employed.
There is quite likely enough information here to justify tracking the men down and taking them out preemptively and permanently as enemies of the US. That's what the Israelis would do, and they're the best in the world at combating this kind of terrorist scum.
I hope we're hot on their trail . . .

Let's hope this is all a setup.
Let's hope that the French were told to let them go after injecting them with "lojack" aka GPS.
Why get 6 when you could possibly get many more up the ladder?

The licensed pilot bit is interesting. I assume the guy won't ever fly anything in the future, or indeed be flying on any plane anywhere, except maybe from one Muslim nation to another. IF a licensed pilot was in and amongst a group of unsavory characters, the guy should become radioactive. I wonder what the explanation was for the gang of seven feeling a need to see the urban sprawl of Los Angeles? Granted, flying in at night, the view of the lights is simply grand.

THERE WERE 6 OF THEM ON ONE FLIGHT! THAT HAS TO TURN ON SOME LIGHTS SOMEWHERE IN FRANCE!
To: go star go
it was strange that SIX of them would be on the same flight. Is that a coincidence?
To: Torie
IF a licensed pilot was in and amongst a group of unsavory characters, the guy should become radioactive And you are saying it is a good thing that a "radioactive" person should be released in france, where his "radioactivity" will be covered with a lead shield, looking at the french government's previous actions.(the shoe bomber, french obstruction about Iraq, etc. etc.)
