10 years. That’s a long time. Maybe too long. I’ve seen a lot of changes in Free Republic in that time, and not all of them good.

Especially lately.

Now I look around and see little that’s familiar. JimRob. John Robinson. A few others. But most of the brightest and best are gone.

Now I’m told (by many) that I no longer belong here. Considering the ugliness after the YFZ court decision May 29th, I’m inclined to agree. I’m just not willing to overlook child abuse enough to fit in here; I’m really not enough of an America hater to blithely type phrases like “jackboot” and “thug” and “brownshirt” when referring to those who comprise my government (which, of course, includes US). Worse, I just don’t think women should be sex slaves in some grimy cult.

I think I really need to find a better class of conservatives. Or at least some conservatives with some class.

So, very soon, I’ll be asking to have my name totally removed from the membership lists, and my monthly donation stopped.

God bless everyone who saw the evil that the fLDS did—and does—to their people, and had the courage to speak out about it in spite of all the attacks it brought from the so-called conservatives here. God bless you all.

And the hell with all the rest of you.
