A comet not seen since Neanderthals walked the Earth is set to make a return trip - and astronomers have shared the first detailed image of the 'cosmic snowball.'

Formally known as C/2022 E3 (ZTF), the comet orbits the sun every 50,000 years and is set to make its closest approach to our planet on February 1, 2023....

....The comet is currently 117 million miles from Earth and is set to reach the sun on January 1, loop around and make its closest approach to our planet.

And E3 will be the first comet seen to the naked eye since the NEOWISE comet in July 2020....

Had a good friend who was a class 3 dealer and brought a Mac11 out to my range. It would empty the entire mag in about 3 seconds. It would only eat Federal .380.

When I first saw this movie back in the 1980s on HBO and she said...”Daddy would have gotten us UZIS!” I knew that line was a “keeper!”

Yes, the Mac 10’s were locking up constantly on set when filming the shooting scenes. IIRC Kelli Maroney (Samantha Belmont) adlibbed the Uzi line out of frustration with the prop weapons constantly jamming.

That movie is one of my guilty pleasures that I allow myself to indulge in once a year. I have no idea why, it just is.
