The first Obamacare Death Panel, headed by Ezekiel Emanuel, issued death sentences to 3,500 patients. After evaluating their cases, the panel determined that the patients did not meet the minimum economic cost-benefit criteria and would be terminated within a week. Having a semblance of humanity, the ordered slow death would be painless and with dignity. All 3,500 patients will be loaded on a Carnival Cruise ship and set off on a 1 week cruise. Patients will be plied with liquor and drugs until they were in an absolute stupor. No toilet facilities or food will be provided as all the patients will be thrown over the side on the second day out. Emanuel stated that by throwing them over the side on the second day out it would save money and keep them under control as they would be expecting a full 7 day cruise before their demise.
My dad was sentenced to death today. 81 years old, going through chemo and the insurance company refuses to pay for the pet scan.
It has begun.
I am so sorry for you and your father.
Not medically necessary when you’re 81 years old. Have to save money for an illegal to get boob implants.
Brillant! Post of the Year!

Start reading about natural cures in the internet.
Wouldn’t it be more certainly lethal to force them to stay on the Carnival cruise ship?

I have read that if you freeze whole lemons, and grate them on your food, the food tastes a lot better AND the natural ingredients in lemon peel is 10,000 times more effective than Chemo without the side effects.
Good Lord. PET scans aren’t that expensive, are they? It’s not major surgery. Any insurance co. could afford it.
I’m sorry about your father.
Check out the Huntsman Cancer Center in Utah. They’ve had a tradition of accepting patients with limited ability to pay.
I’m so sorry.
what regimen did she follow?
Best wishes for your father and you.
My father had colon cancer. He is on a bag now. He skipped chemo because he’d read doctors say they wouldn’t use chemo.
He’s cancer free, now—much to the surprise of his doctor.
BUT, others benefit from chemo, seemingly.
Life’s a crapshoot—none of us get out of it alive.
Always remember...we have a better place to go, and I don’t think we’ll see Bath-House Barry there.
Oh. Wow.
From me, however, is no sarcasm. Mr. EQAndyBuzz, I'm so sad to hear about your Dad. God bless him and your family.
I am sorry to hear about your Dad.
My neighbor next door proudly announced her doctor told her she has had her last ever mamo. She seemed ok with it having been told that at her age 70ish, she and clear mammos over the years she would be fine.
I told her that is bunk. Another friend who is in her early 60s had an annual mammo and then the next year a digital and guess what it picked up? A “something” the size of a . yep just that big. Her doctors did a biopsy and you guessed it, it was breast cancer in the earliest stage..a regular mammo would NOT have picked it up but since hers was, a semi radical was done, all margins clear and no lymph nodes in involved and she was given no follow on treatments, given the all clear...Oh the analysis of the tissue showed that this cancer she had was one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer...
Long story short, I told my neighbor not to buy into that comment by her doctor...it is all about money not the need or safety now due to her age of 74 or whatever it is...
I got a real chuckle, kinda, out of your post.
It made me think of a short story I read years ago about the “culling” process. People were selected and sent to a carnival (hmmm) where the rides were all booby trapped. I can’t remember the name of the story. But they went out having a good time.
Of course, “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson could also apply. Darker and not nearly as much fun as a cruise or carnival.
Medicare has decided that after the age of 80 they no longer take care of them like they sued to do.In the past 4 months I have heard of 5 people who had broken hips be refused surgery to set them because of their age.It is here and it is not nice.
