Tanabaum does not make the decision of who to put in a game or who
not to put in a game. If u think Sanchez timing was off because Ryan
chose to play Tebow in a wildcat formation, that’s a coaching decision.
I.e Rex Ryan’s decision.

Tannenbaum is the guy that decides to trade away 2 draft picks for a QB with a sub 50 completion percentage that the head coach publicly stated he didn’t want.
IF the Jets sign another QB in the off season it will be to replace Sanchez, whom Tannenbaum gave a big raise to, not to supplement him like when they picked up Tebow.
Tannenbaum’s firing happened for 2 reasons: 1 gave a big fat raise to a mediocre QB, traded away 2 draft picks for an even WORSE QB to add to the roster. Tannenbaum GAVE Ryan excuses by saddling him with 2 bad QBs one of which Ryan didn’t want.
No, it’s because we started the season 7-1 and failed to adjust to injuries and poor play calling for the next 8 games.

Always wonder about firing the GM. While he is responsible for the personnel in the organization, those decisions are not made in a vacuum.
I had thought about that, but believe that the lack of protection will change the styles of the players. Despite being a fullback on the pitch, I would not tackle football style, as I did as a safety.
What should Ryan do? The GM, his BOSS, went out of his way to saddle him with a QB controversy. He gave Sanchez a raise and extension AND traded away 2 draft pick to bring in another QB. If Ryan doesn’t use Sanchez he’s wasting the money they’re paying him, if he doesn’t use Tebow he’s wasting the draft picks they used to get him. Also keep in mind Tannenbaum went and hired as offensive coordinator the guy that brought the wildcat to the NFL. Clearly Tannenbaum, Ryan’s boss, WANTED a 2 QB wildcat system. So that’s what Ryan did, and it failed. Tannenbaum’s plan failed, Tannenbaum gets fired.
If they stink next year Ryan gets fired. Because next year they’ll be running Ryan’s plan and if it fails out he goes. Though keep in mind that his plan got them to 2 AFC championship games in the past, so it might not fail.

A lot of it depends on the situation. Like in NYJ the GM clearly went against what the coach wanted. In San Diego Smith’s had a pretty long record of failure. The only good QB the Cards have had under Grove was Warner, and he was a backup on his way out of the league when they grabbed him to mentor Leinart who stank.
I guess that ‘butt’ fumble was because Tebow threw Sanchez’s timing off.
The funny thing of the Jets situation is that Sanchez was given the chance to play and proved without a doubt that he is not up to standards as an NFL quarterback. Yet, everyone still claims that Tebow can’t play with no evidence to back it up.
The reason that Tebow did not get the start yesterday is that the Jets could not allow Tebow to win a game as quarterback and prove his critics wrong.
Rex should have been fired. At this time next year the speculation will be if the Jets will fire Ryan after not reaching the playoffs again.

Jim Schwartz needs to go as well, no way should a team with one of the best quarterbacks in the league finish 4-12 like the Lions did.

Bowl games were a marketing tool designed to get people in ice bound locales to travel to a sun belt city for a weekend of football and revelry. Fruits and vegetables were popular names because the sponsors were local and they were trying to sell local commodities. Once TV took over and domed stadiums appeared, the whole thing got out of hand. TV meant that revenue wasn’t tied up in the seats anymore and the name became a valuable commodity in and of itself. Notice that its hard to catch a view of the stands during these early bowl games. ESPN and the sponsors don’t want people to know that the stands are empty. That dynamic changes as we now turn to the big bowl games.
These Tebow hater Jets fans will soon realize, after Tebow is gone, they
still have a loser organization. They won’t have anyone to blame next year.

But the event happened. They were penalized for the celebration, that occurred; the CAUSE of celebration was wiped from the books, but the celebration still happened. I think we can have a civil discussion on the matter of Shahid Khan in particular and Mohammedanism in general, although we may have substantial disagreement.
I'll start by stating that I'm a strong believer in racial and ethnic profiling. I am also very politically incorrect and am admittedly intolerant of multiculturalism and the diversity movement. In my opinion, any and all adherents to Islam are not to be trusted. The judicial system is based on the principle of presumed innocence with the burden of proof on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond doubt. My standard is different when it comes to Islam. They are apriori guilty until and unless they renounce their faith.
I agree with what Ann Coulter wrote in her opinion piece in 2001:

As to Khan, the Jacksonville Jaguars owner, the mainstream media goes into overdrive with a narrative to portray him as a hard-working immigrant who has adopted American ways and achieved financial success. But, when all is said and done, he remains a follower of the evil satanic cult of Islam. Ergo, he's not to be trusted in my opinion. In conclusion, I'm sure there still remains a good amount of daylight in our viewpoint but I've stated my case forthrightly and with candor. It simply boils down to my perception that Muslims (yes, all Muslims, every single one of them) are untrustworthy since their belief system is predicated on evil. If that makes me an anti-Muslim bigot, so be it.

He is a GREAT assistant coach. Not so much a head coach, I think.
