JERUSALEM — A three-foot-tall tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth of Jesus is causing a quiet stir in biblical and archaeological circles, especially because it may speak of a messiah who will rise from the dead after three days.

“Some Christians will find it shocking — a challenge to the uniqueness of their theology — while others will be comforted by the idea of it being a traditional part of Judaism,” Mr. Boyarin said.

What Bible are you reading from? Christians believe Jesus rose on the 3rd day. If you don't, by definition, you are not a Christian. It's mathematical. (1st Corinthians 15:1-4)

Judaism doesn't hold to this.....yet. They will undergo a national conversion during Tribulation (Revelation 7).

Well, even if they have it will probably be another Bill Clinton - don't ask or demand his medical records. Each time he ran, NO MEDICAL RECORDS were released. I suspect the same will happen with the Obomination - no demands and no questions.

Agreed. The NY Times is spiritually bankrupt. I got that.

I was commenting on the post from the good professor at UC-Berkeley; apparently never having mastered the Bible, and not knowing basic Christianity.

Jesus told everyone that he would rise on the 3rd day. They didn’t listen. But I wonder if this generation will listen, and connect the dots to its logical and final implication before it’s too late?

We buried a church member of ours yesterday; a beautiful 15 year-old girl. She prepared her message beforehand, knowing full well she was going to die. Her message, as relayed by her mother to the well-wishers at her funeral was: “If you know Jesus as your Lord, this funeral is simply a ‘good-night’. But if you won’t accept what He said, then this is ‘good-bye’, because I’m not going to Hell with you.

If you want to know how to have eternal life, as specified in the Bible, hit me up.
