Gab is an amazing social media forum. They don't moderate users, well except for porn and direct threats of violence. It also has more features than Truth Social, Twitter, and even Facebook.
I even created a group (just now) and made it private called "Freerepublic". I'm hoping more users go there to experience what freedom on the Internet is like.
Also here's a tip: You can create your own filters to block things you don't want to see. Like N-word, Hitler, Obama, etc...
How many users are really on Twitter? Maybe most people are not interested.
I know there are a ton of real users on facebook. Twitter I have no clue as I don’t use it.
Truth social is ok, but same issue as twitter. Gab does a great job of taking the best from all platforms and making it better. And best of all they allow free speech. Even more so than FR.
I seem to spend most of my limited time there blocking anti-Semitic and vulgar posters.
I tried it. I literally got tired of arguing with the believers in the “Great Jewish Banker Conspiracy”

Try using the filters. It worked amazingly well for me. I learned how to use them when blocking the “trump coins” And extended it to the racists.

The not so secret about twitter is half of their traffic or more is porn.
I actually didn’t myself realize this until last week. There is a lot of it and it is as disgusting as you would expect.
Go to your profile, settings, filters. Add keywords and phrases you don’t want to see. Voila. they are gone.
That’s why I love Gab. It puts me in control of what I see, not some AI or Zuckerberg/FBI stooge.
Gab has 0 porn.
My main issue is just that I really don’t do social media anymore. I kind of got over it. I think it started when I retired a little over a year ago. I am a gab member and get their information and my email constantly but I haven’t been on gab for a long time
Tim Pool has an excellent video on Youtube about how many “followers” really are on Twatter. For example, obamatard has 120 million (supposedly) followers on Twatter but when he tweets something (very rarely), those so-called followers of his rarely reply back. Musk was quite right about the fakery on that company.
I tried gab when it first came out and something approaching 50% of the posts were bashing Jews. I don’t believe Gab was set up as a jew bashing site, but if you set up a commenting forum as a “hey anything goes, no censorship at all” and what results is a den of hateful antisemites, that’s a problem. Also, if the current gab environment hasn’t chased the Jew bashers off, saying something like “it’s like 40% less antisemitic than it used to be” is hardly a good response for folks who don’t want any.

There were a lot of anti-Jewish paid posts and supports there. Mostly bots.

Above I gave examples of how to fix that. Use the built in filters.
Also know that a lot of the left are the ones doing this (not all) but a lot so they can make gab look like a kook site. They fear it! They fear free speech.
Another thing you can do is just join Private groups (like the one I shared). That’s what Makes gab so great. You are in control. Just takes a little bit to set it up.
While I love FR, there have been times when we were told we couldn’t say certain things or back certain candidates. On gab, if you don’t want to see posts about candidate X. Just filter it out.
I like GAB a lot better than Twitter. I joined GAB the day I deleted by Twitter account. January of 2021.

BTW: Another nice feature of GAB that Truth Social and FR doesn’t have...you can edit your posts after you make it. Truth deletes and reposts a new one.
Yes. I agree with you. Social media, for me, has gotten a “little long in the tooth”.
