Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

No non-Mormon believes the Book of Mormon is the true word of God, and that would include about 98% of all Americans.

My vote doesn’t mean squat here in California."

There will be some people who stand on their principles and will not vote the R ticket. Fortunately, those will be very few and the great majority will recognize the necessity of playing the hand that has been dealt. Most of us recognize that this country will not survive another four years of Zero.

I will be voting against Obama, Biden, Holder, Sebelius, Napalitano and all the other merry band of thugs and traitors.

That entails voting FOR Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. While I wish Ryan was at the top of the ticket and Romney wasn’t even on it, wishing doesn’t make it so.

I refuse to aid and abet Barack Hussein Obama and the democrap party in any way, shape or form in November.

"And how will you be able to stand before God after you enabled an Obama second term, being responsible for everything Obama will do in his second term?"

Do you truly believe that God will hold me responsible for your vote?

As far as “Mormons”..... I have known all my life the results of being hated for my religion and like most others- I am what I am because I was born who I was born. I will not judge the religion of others I do not know, unless they use their religion as a weapon. I do not believe Mormons have done such.

Thank you for inserting some decency and wisdom. It is appreciated.

So, you’re voting for a godless Marxist instead. Every vote counts, either for or against. ABO. Period.

“However, my fear is that this country that I love, that saved my Dad and gave our family a chance to rebuild, will not survive another four years with the current President in office.”

Holy God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob....save us from those that would defile the memory of those poor souls lost in the Holocaust by using them as a political lever to get people to vote for an unacceptable Romney.

CWSBTEXAS - This is the United States of America. No POTUS, even one as bad as Obama, can turn this country into a NAZI Germany. The PEOPLE will not allow it - NEVER. Stop fanning false fear to garner support for Romney who doesn’t deserve support. IF you are going to be afraid, then be equally afraid of both Obama and Romney.

“Because the GOPe conspired to get their guy, because the primary system is BS and is designed to prefer moderates, and Mittens had millions of dollars to lie about himself and others all throughout the campaign.

Sorry, but I will not reward Liars with my vote.”
________________________________________________

Oh, so you don't like the outcome of the primary, so “It must be the work of the evil GOP-e!” Are you serious? OK, why don't you prove it. Prove to us how the GOP-e mysteriously made primary voters around the nation vote for Romney...we're dying to know? I guess these same evil GOP-e’s made Cain, Bachmann, and New drop out?

Mitt wasn't my guy either, but he did win the primary. But hey, we don't want impectualant little children like you to be denied your little tantrum. Don't vote; vote third party; or hey, maybe even do a write in! Yeah, that’ll show that bastard Romney how you feel.

It would be nice if you guys showed half the disgust you show for Romney to Obama. You've seen what Obama’s done to the nation, but you fear and have more contempt for Romney? At least those of us who will vote for Romney are taking an “Action” to help remove the Marxist. Your inaction does nothing but help Obama.

If that is your view you are entitled to it. If you don’t like the term ‘mittbot’ sorry, that isn’t my problem. I don’t see Romney as a messianic figure and if we are going to have any real change, it will require total control of both houses of congress. I see in Romney a republican party that is trying to move away from me as the democrats did from Reagan.

Oh and viewing others on FR for years cuts both ways.

Just one thought: We are NOT electing a “high priest”, we are electing a President.

And another thought — the alternative is giving an America hater, freedom-hater, communist, Muslim sympathizer a second term, where he can do anything unconstrained.

centurion316:

Translating your post into normal English with a special emphasis on its actual meaning: You have sold out any conservative principles you may ever have had and you are very angry that "Jim Robinson and his core of followers on Free Republic" refuse to join you and other Romney pom pom girls in that sellout, thereby making you look bad. With centurions like you, who needs enemies???

Bearing in mind that the Demonrat Party is beyond hope as to Marxism, homosexual everything, baby-killing, peace-creepism, non-defense spending, takeover of the medical system, gun grabbery, taxation, and a cornucopia of other Demonrat issues, that leaves only the GOP as potential resistance.

What the left needs to cement a final victory over America is an ideological takeover of the GOP to make the GOP as close as possible to what the Demonrats have done to their party since 1972 or thereabouts.

\The GOP is already afflicted in Congress with such sorry spineless and utterly ideologically corrupted (gimme mo' money!) excuses for leadership as Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, John Weepy Boehner, Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy. All they care about is kissing GOP Elitist patoot and collecting as much cash as possible from the usual corrupt suspects. It certainly won't get any better under a Romney presidency.

Then what the Demonrats need (and have in Romney) is for the GOP to nominate a leftist piece of trash who is committed to homosexual everything, baby-killing, gun grabbing, unilateral disarmament, wild spending, special interest tax policies taking special care of Mittler's fellow zillionaires, environmental whackoism, global "climate change" and cap and trade, repealing and REVISING Obozocare, etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum ad nauseam.

When the GOP-E and their windtunnel sycophants have completed the conquest of the GOP now and forever more via Mittler's candidacy, we shall have become France or England or most other European elitocrat regimes.

Jim Rob performs the service of providing a website to which the remnant of conservatism may repair, nurse the wounds, restore our strength and fight another day (when fighting will have some cognizable purpose as it does not this year at the POTUS level).

In the event that Mittler should happen to be elected, the actual conservatives here will remind you ceaselessly that you sold out and that Mittler's evils are attributable to you and his other supporters. Are we pig-headed (your term)? You betcha and we are the reason why there will be a conservative movement in the future. The rich tapestry of conservative principle is much more than some "path to power."

Tom Hoefling for POTUS in 2012. He gives actual conservatives an honorable and principled alternative to the trash nominated for POTUS by Demonrats and GOP alike.

He doesn't need your vote to win, you live in California.

He needs my vote to win. I live in Ohio. I live in the Democrat part of Ohio. He needs me to be a poll watcher on 55th and Carnegie making sure the bus loads of Bums and vagrants don't stuff the ballot box again. He needs me to hold O’Bumblers lead in Cuyahoga County to under 100K and he needs me to drag my friends neighbors and fellow patriots to the polls to save this country.

Not all of us have the luxury to live in a state that is so lost to reality that we can vote for whomever our ‘conscience’ allows and it makes no difference. Some of us live in the state of reality. States like OH, or FL or CO, or IN, or MI, or MO or the other swing states where this election will actually be determined.

Those of us who have a vote that not only counts but matters need to realize a vote for any one but Romney is a vote for Obama, And a vote for Obama is a loss for our progeny.

The truth, the REAL TRUTH, is that my vote is more important than your vote because my vote may make a difference in my poling place, my district, my county, my state, and in the Electoral College. Yours doesn't, and your desire to punish the establishment in the GOP by continuing to attempt to hurt Romney's candidacy and down play the importance of my vote, and those in other swing states, does nothing to advance the cause of either Liberty or Conservatism.

I will not throw my vote away just to have a conscience cleansing temper tantrum against the GOP establishment. My vote is too damn important to me, my children and my country.
