Been here since 98, which is why I don't toss out the "I've been here longer so shut up" tactic that sadly has reared its head a lot lately. When I try it- some class of 97 guy kicks my arse and calls me noob. (yeah, old joke but I laugh)
Been lurking more than posting lately but wonder where we all stand on things in this race and on Free Republic.

1. Betweeen Cruz, Rubio, and Trump only...please list in order of preference if they were your only choices for president.
2. Are the current flame wars on Free Republic the same we always see during a presidential primary season or worse?
3. Of these 5 issues only: Abortion, Homosexual Marriage, Illegal immigration, Muslim refugees, Obamacare... please list in order of most important to stop to least important. (Least important in no way means "not important". Even if an issue is #5 on THIS list, its may still be #5 out of 100 issues for you. Im just comparing to these other 4 for perspective.)
After answering straight up, feel free to comment and explain. Thanks!

on #2 - I’ve been on and *paying attention* daily for only the prior two primary seasons, and I think this is much nastier. The only thing close was the anti-McCain people, but I think most of us agreed with them.
on #3 - Abortion is the most important general issue of any list to me, because it’s baby murder. But in this election, if we don’t save our country from the invaders, there isn’t going to be any country to deal with the issues of morality that we care about.
(Note - I’ve been around since 1998, too, but on an old Webtv back then. Didn’t join and start posting until 07. It feels much different here than it did 16 years ago.)

1. Cruz, Rubio and will leave blank if Trump. Have never done that. Have always voted.
2. Seems much worse to me. Has brought me out from lurking.

Once upon a time you could tell what your sign up number was. Mine was somewhere in the 3000’s if I remember correctly. So that means over 3000 people signed up before me. I have wondered what that number would be now.

2. Worse. There have always been flame wars during elections, but the sheer number of suspicious posters is amazing as well as the viciousness. Lots of money out there to hire seminar posters. I’m not really posting the political threads. It just isn”t any fun dealing with the howlers.
