Donald Trump Will Allow Illegal Immigrants To Stay In U.S. On One Condition

Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, will allow illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. on one condition — that they stay “productive.” The billionaire real estate mogul says that if he’s elected president, he’ll allow undocumented workers stay in America if they’re productive and not abusing the system by not contributing to it. Otherwise, he’d have them deported.

Trump is also the guy supporting a real border fence with Mexico.

He's also supporting us, bringing jobs back, from other countries right here to America.

Good combination of ideas, in my opinion.

What do you think?

The only condition I’m for with these illegals is that they pay their debts to society like every other damned criminal should in this country.

And pay their back taxes. That would be nice, too.

So in other words...

“You can stay... if you pay.”

He is caving. He is all over the place. Illegals need to pack their burros and go home.

So as long as an illegal has stolen a job from an American, he can stay?

smh

You may be surprised to know that many many of them who have steady jobs (not day labor types) do have taxes with held. The SSN is phony, of course, and Congress knows it, but they take those billions every Friday from those checks.

Congress promised America the amnesty in 1984 was a one-time event. They should either publicly admit they are all a bunch of untrustworthy liars and surrender their offices, or drop all amnesty proposals and defund DHS unless deportations pick up.

And give them right back in the form of a fraudulent refund check, plus credits. Right?

Seriously, I want to ask you a question. Like an adult. Just as a thought experiment.......

Do you really think every lawn mowing job has been “stolen” from an American? Do you think every hotel maid job has been stolen from Americans? Do you really think every janitorial job has been stolen from an American? Or vegetable picking?

Do you want any of these jobs? Do you know anyone who does? Do you see the unemployed hipsters flashing their EBT cards buying lobster at Whole Foods while surfing the web at Starbucks doing these jobs? How about the looters in Ferguson? Or the musician on welfare who does some music gigs cash on the side?

My only point is this: your example is just way way way too simple to really describe what is a complex problem. And yes, it’s a damned problem.

I see your point, but I don’t believe Trump is caving.

He is seeing America as a gigantic business entity, and responding as a business leader would.

This seems entirely consistent in my opinion. He is for serious border control (something nobody else is saying one single word about), he is for sending home a bunch of people who are just here ripping us off (which NOBODY else will do) and he’s saying to individual Mexicans, “look I get in arguments with some of your people, but in fact nobody hates you, you just have to see this from our viewpoint.”

So he avoids being accused of racism. A lot of people will support Trump I believe.

It’s not a bad approach.

Most do not file taxes. They just have the money withheld from their checks. It’s how the legals and the illegals meld together.

Now those who game the system for the credits? That’s a different universe. Those are the same ones who don’t work and just get government bennies. Entirely different situation there.

You know, you don’t have any credibility on this forum for a number of reasons, but your idiotic comment that no one else is saying anything about the border?????

I’m sorry, that’s just total bullshit.

This is simply not true. Ted Cruz has been a stanch supporter of the fence and brought it up in an amendment to the Gang of Eight effort in 2013:

Cruz 1320: Create border security triggers that can be measured objectively by Congress and provide the resources and capabilities necessary to secure the border.

Before any illegal immigrants could be legalized, DHS is required to:

Triple the number of Border Patrol agents on the southern border;

Quadruple the cameras, sensors, drones, helicopters, and other technology and infrastructure as appropriate

Complete all 700 miles of the fencing required by law in the Secure Fence Act of 2006 (Pub, L. 109-367)

Develop a policy assuring real-time sharing of information among all federal law enforcement agencies regarding illegal border activity

Complete and fully implement the US-VISIT system, including the biometric entry-exit portion—as Congress has repeatedly mandated – so we will finally know those present in the country after their visa expires

Establish “operational control” over 100 percent of the southern border.

If DHS fails to substantially comply with any of these trigger requirements within 3 years, the salary of all DHS political appointees would be cut by 20 percent and 20 percent of DHS’s budget would be block granted to the states with the full authority to use those funds to secure the border;

This amendment is required to be fully offset. Either the appropriations committee must identify offsets, or it will be paid for by an automatic, across the board cut to non-defense spending – an approach supported in the past by many Republicans and the White House.

Unfortunately, the current Gang of 8 bill will not secure the border. It grants legal status for those here illegally when DHS simply drafts a plan for securing the border. And it then grants green cards to those individuals when DHS certifies, in its opinion, that the plan has been substantially completed based on subjective criteria. The bill does not require operational control of the entire border and does not provide the resources necessary to truly secure the border.

I’d vote for Trump if I really thought he was genuinely sincere and not just aiming at publicity for his latest venture, whatever it is. Unfortunately, his past history shows otherwise.

So when a rapist or a murderer (both criminals along with illegal aliens, BTW) promise to become and remain productive we just let them out of prison?

How asinine is this? Productivity and the rule of law have nothing in common legally.

Yeah, that was absurd on CNN’s part.

Anyone who has paid attention for the past several years knows that Cruz has been a leader on the border. And there are others who share the philosophy as well. In the last go round, I think all candidates were strong on the border. They differed some on other aspects, but they all agreed on the border.

I think most of them will this time too. Jeb and Huck and Christie will be a bit squishy perhaps....but to say Trump is the only one on the border issue? Just pathetic.

Oh I didn’t know that.

Good proposal Senator Cruz.
