Trump is also the guy supporting a real border fence with Mexico.

He's also supporting us, bringing jobs back, from other countries right here to America.

Good combination of ideas, in my opinion.

What do you think?

The only condition I’m for with these illegals is that they pay their debts to society like every other damned criminal should in this country.

And pay their back taxes. That would be nice, too.

He is caving. He is all over the place. Illegals need to pack their burros and go home.

So as long as an illegal has stolen a job from an American, he can stay?

smh

Congress promised America the amnesty in 1984 was a one-time event. They should either publicly admit they are all a bunch of untrustworthy liars and surrender their offices, or drop all amnesty proposals and defund DHS unless deportations pick up.

This is simply not true. Ted Cruz has been a stanch supporter of the fence and brought it up in an amendment to the Gang of Eight effort in 2013:

Cruz 1320: Create border security triggers that can be measured objectively by Congress and provide the resources and capabilities necessary to secure the border.

Before any illegal immigrants could be legalized, DHS is required to:

Triple the number of Border Patrol agents on the southern border;

Quadruple the cameras, sensors, drones, helicopters, and other technology and infrastructure as appropriate

Complete all 700 miles of the fencing required by law in the Secure Fence Act of 2006 (Pub, L. 109-367)

Develop a policy assuring real-time sharing of information among all federal law enforcement agencies regarding illegal border activity

Complete and fully implement the US-VISIT system, including the biometric entry-exit portion—as Congress has repeatedly mandated – so we will finally know those present in the country after their visa expires

Establish “operational control” over 100 percent of the southern border.

If DHS fails to substantially comply with any of these trigger requirements within 3 years, the salary of all DHS political appointees would be cut by 20 percent and 20 percent of DHS’s budget would be block granted to the states with the full authority to use those funds to secure the border;

This amendment is required to be fully offset. Either the appropriations committee must identify offsets, or it will be paid for by an automatic, across the board cut to non-defense spending – an approach supported in the past by many Republicans and the White House.

Unfortunately, the current Gang of 8 bill will not secure the border. It grants legal status for those here illegally when DHS simply drafts a plan for securing the border. And it then grants green cards to those individuals when DHS certifies, in its opinion, that the plan has been substantially completed based on subjective criteria. The bill does not require operational control of the entire border and does not provide the resources necessary to truly secure the border.

I’d vote for Trump if I really thought he was genuinely sincere and not just aiming at publicity for his latest venture, whatever it is. Unfortunately, his past history shows otherwise.

So when a rapist or a murderer (both criminals along with illegal aliens, BTW) promise to become and remain productive we just let them out of prison?

How asinine is this? Productivity and the rule of law have nothing in common legally.

So basically he is proposing Amnesty. And like Obama, it will be by His determination and not the rule of law.

I hate to tell you, this guy is a shiny light meant to distract the puppy.

Most illegals work hard and are very productive at what they find. Then they go out Saturday night, drunk up and drive the wrong way on the interstate and kill someone without insurance. Or they are criminals in the first place and who knows if the executive will diagnose what they are in character.

Donald is a Perot type BS-er. Next he will be telling us we will settle it all in a town hall meeting on TV.

Where is the constitution and where is the rule of law.

I'd say .. I want an activist politician with the lousiest hair, most questionable background and a few cross the aisle foibles over soft speaking ones that say the same

Cruz's mild manner will be belittled into the gtound by the overpowering queer presence

I want someone that will say FY to at least SOMEONE !

Trump allows them to stay for nothing.

So what you’re saying is Trump is for amnesty.

Actually, it looks like not only is Trump for Amnesty, but that like a lot of companies, he’s ok with exploiting the illegals provided their “productive”. And this is different from what businesses are doing right now how?

Trump’s a fraud, thanks for clarifying.

Better than most. The FICA cap keeps going up to cover the ones who have paid very little. Otherwise I wouldn’t expect much in Federal taxes from formerly illegal immigrants.

For all of his bravado Trump speaks in simple street terms. Not Wall street. Day to day conversation type.

I am willing to give him the opportunity to compete, and if he wins the nomination he will have our two votes.

Would love to see him debate Hillary, and disappointed that he will not get the chance to do the same with Obama...

Committing a crime is OK as long as it pays.

No thanks. I’ll stick with enforcing the law.

I think you’ll latch on to whatever liberal idea there is by whatever liberal candidate there is in order to keep conservatives from coming together behind an actual conservative.

And I think you’d be better served on DU.
