That is a little weak on concealability, but it more than makes up for that with stopping power.

I work part-time in a gun shop.
We got 6 in last Thursday and they were gone the same day.
Everyone who has handled our display gun has been impressed.
I’m a steel gun guy and I may even get one.

If you are only gonna have 5 rounds, the Ruger LCR is the way to go. No one has ever had a jam on a Ruger wheel gun.

Sounds like you've pretty much been there and done that.

I also suspect, that like me, you have couple of drawers full of "tried out" holsters, that never quite worked the way you wanted them to, but you just can't bring yourself to get rid of them.

...my question to everyone that conceal carries full size guns, how do you accomplish it?

I carried a 1911 full size for years, under all kinds of clothing.

It is not the least bit easy, but I did get fairly good at it.

As I said, my best luck was with either Kydex or molded leather, Kydex coming along later in life.

I also have several undershirts that have pockets for guns, which work well when I am more formally dressed. Slow to access but better than being unarmed.

Yeah, I've used those...most particularly with more formal wear, but I never liked them because as you said, slow to access.

Currently I alternate carry between a Kimber Officers-size 1911 and a Bersa Thunder .380.

The Kimber is sweet, inspires utmost confidence, and impresses most anyone that is savvy enough to recognize what I'm carrying, which of course is not the objective, but goes with the territory.

But it is a little heavy compared to the Bersa and if I had to actually use it, I'd be heart-broken to give it up to the DA/police for the investigation that would certainly ensue.

So, I've come to carry the Bersa more and more.

I carry it in Kydex, of which I have 4 of them, black, brown, denim and camo.

Each were custom-molded and I use a Kirkpatrick belt (has a steel insert along the length of the belt).

I usually forget I have it on.

But why the Bersa?

First...I've got less than 200 bucks invested in it, so I won't be upset about donating it to the DA, which is what will happen...you and I both know it...if I were to use it.

Second, it is LIGHT.

Did I say it was light?

Fully loaded with 8 +1 of Buffalo Bore or ARX, it weighs about 26 ounces.

Has adjustable sights, does a 5 shot group in 1.5 at 7 yards.

Think poor mans Walther PPK.

But whatever does it for YOU is what counts.

I have a shoulder holster, but haven't wore it out yet.

Yeah, I got a few of those, too...in the same drawer with the holsters.

Never found one that was "just right"...other than a Galco Jackass rig, which was the best of all of them, but still just not quite there.

Ankle-holsters? Haven't figured them out yet.

If you do, please let me know.

I gave up on them a LONG time ago.

Have a good day.

I carry the 239 in 9mm.

My favorite is the beast{50 caliber}, but it is tough to conceal {or carry}.

If you have this mounted on the bed of your truck, you don't need no stinken CCW permit.

Being an American by choice (citizen for 14 years now, came legally in 1992), I have never owned a gun or even fired one (hubby bought a shotgun right after O was elected but neither of us have ever even fired it).

A few weeks ago I was notified that I won a S&W M&P Shield 2.0 from the USCCA (I entered because Hannity advertised it at DefendFamily.com) It is coming next week.

There is a range a 3 minute drive from my house and as soon as my NRA membership card arrives, I will be joining their club.

(I won $20 from my grocery store Monopoly contest the same week and I used that to up my practice ammo purchase which will be coming next week too).

I got a CPL too.

Any advice for a noob that is super excited?

We both have XD pistols in .45, the Compact model. Great little guns. But for us the single stack version made more sense for EDC.

Can’t go wrong with either one tho.

“I carry (sometimes) a Glock 23, 40 cal. It fits nicely in my hand. Concealed, not open even though I’m in Texas. I like concealed for the tactical advantage.” I’m, in Texas to, DFW area. I’ve had a CHL since it first became legal here in Texas. And, I carry sometimes but always concealed, same as you. Concerning open carry but have never done it. Guess I’m kinda self conscious about it. You know, I have yet to see anyone here in Texas doing open carry, even out in the rural areas. And, the Libs made such a big deal about it, turning Texas back into the Wild West and all that. Too funny 🙄

Glad to see they included at least one revolver - Ruger LCR

They didn't include the LCR. They included the LCRx. The difference is the exposed hammer.

I like the LCR with a shrouded hammer a lot better. It does not get hung up on clothes during the draw.

I prefer the shrouded hammer also for a snubbie although it does make the firearm double action only.
