Quick, sell Korea some carbon offsets.
That'll take care of everything.

There has been many volcanoes that are just about ready to explode, all over the world. There is KRAKATAO in Indonesia. Just as a reminder, that was the volcano that erupted in the late 1800, that cause a few years in this country without a summer. One could only wish that this volcano in that part of the would explode, ridding us one of the most disgusting country this world has ever created.

Yeah, this is the same thing they were saying about Bardarbunga in Iceland last year. Quakes, tremors, lava, plague of locusts, the whole enchilada. Lots of wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth over how much of the glacier would vaporize and send waters flooding all over the place, blow ash all over half of Europe, etc.......then it petered out and went dormant again two months ago. I'll worry when I see Yellowstone belching flames. Now, there's a caldera.

I watched a documentary on Krakatoa and the sound of the eruption could be heard as far away as New Zealand. (The volcano developed cracks that allowed ocean water to come into contact with the magma. The volcano blew itself apart soon thereafter.) If this volcano is on par with what happened then, one might want to put on hold any travel plans to that part of the world for the forseeable future.

Where I go I hope there’s rum.

In heaven there is no beer.
That's why we drink it here.
And when we're all gone from here.
Our friends will be drinking all the beer.

The North Korean hierarchy are so worried about Mt. Baekdu erupting they invited scientists from the U.K. and U.S. to come to North Korea for testing and monitoring. Some scientists seem to think North Korean nuclear tests may be a factor.

The Koreans believe their culture originated from supernal ancestors who long ago inhabited Mt. Baekdu, the sacred mountain. Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un hold a devotional grip over the North Korean people in part because they believe these leaders to be pure Baekdu bloodline descendents, which confers upon them racial purity and semi-divine cachet. This mythology is constantly reinforced by state media much like statist media here deify the jerk Obomba.

The 535 AD eruption of Krakatoa may have had profound historical effects including influencing the birth of the anti-human, islam.

No, 24 cubic miles. You forgot to cube the 0.62.

Feel better knowing about your mistake?

The pressure wave from Krakatoa circled the earth three times. It was picked up by the barometer charts all proper Victorians had in their drawing rooms! An excellent book about the eruption is “Krakatoa”, by Simon Winchester. I loved that book.

Baekdu is an active volcano located on the border between North Korea and China.
Well, that is a danged shame. Thanks Explorer89.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has scaled the country’s highest mountain, state-run media said Sunday, arriving at the summit to tell troops that the hike provides mental energy more powerful than nuclear weapons.

http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2015/04/19/asia-pacific/kim-scales-north-koreas-highest-mountain-state-media-claims/

If there is an eruption Kim can claim it or blame it.
