Yeah, this is the same thing they were saying about Bardarbunga in Iceland last year. Quakes, tremors, lava, plague of locusts, the whole enchilada. Lots of wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth over how much of the glacier would vaporize and send waters flooding all over the place, blow ash all over half of Europe, etc.......then it petered out and went dormant again two months ago. I'll worry when I see Yellowstone belching flames. Now, there's a caldera.

The North Korean hierarchy are so worried about Mt. Baekdu erupting they invited scientists from the U.K. and U.S. to come to North Korea for testing and monitoring. Some scientists seem to think North Korean nuclear tests may be a factor.

The Koreans believe their culture originated from supernal ancestors who long ago inhabited Mt. Baekdu, the sacred mountain. Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un hold a devotional grip over the North Korean people in part because they believe these leaders to be pure Baekdu bloodline descendents, which confers upon them racial purity and semi-divine cachet. This mythology is constantly reinforced by state media much like statist media here deify the jerk Obomba.

You don’t need to worry about simple volcanos.
What we face from comet fragments is a lot worse,
The Taurid meteor showers this month could bring
an extinction level event, and we wouldn’t even
see it coming. So there is always that to look
forward to.

Have a nice day.
