On Wednesday night Megyn Kelly declared on her Fox News show that both Santa Claus and Jesus were white. Discussing a piece in Slate by Aisha Harris about a black versus white Santa, Kelly that "just because it makes you feel uncomfortable it doesn't mean it has to change."

Santa isn’t Greek.
Indeed, I think this is the point that many on here are missing.
Both Jesus and Saint Nicholas were white, i.e. Caucasian.
Skin color, however tanned by the sun around the Mediterranean Basin, is only part of the equation on what makes a person white or black.
The Caucasian world, both then and now, not only includes the entire Middle East, but North Africa, Turkey, the Caucus Mountains, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and most of the Indian Subcontinent. Yes, some of these peoples’ skin tones are dark, almost as dark or darker, in some cases, than sub-Saharan Africans. However, genetically, they are ‘white’.

As to Jesus, while being born in Nazarith, it's not likely he'd be black. It's interesting the Bible notes tribes, and that's important in many places today. In the Mideast, and even in North America till late. But it doesn't note race. Took two centuries of progress and Al Sharpton/Jessie Jackson to realize that distinction was vital.
Jesus was a Semite. He would have had darker skin than the average white American. His hair would have been black and probably thick. He probably would not have been more than 5’ 5”.
He would not look like a European white person.
Netanyahu is from European genes.
Look more at the Palestinians for your average Jesus. I know that bothers a lot of people, but if you are just looking at appearances, those are the folks who come from the area.

Anyone can imagine Jesus any way they want to, but for what it’s worth, there are plenty of blond and blue eyed people in the Middle East, as can be seen in Lebanon, and Jesus is of David’s lineage, which was supposedly noted for its fairness/redness of hair. So the idea that European depictions are false, but Ethiopian ones are true, or that he looks like this or that modern Jew, are almost all equally unprovable. So, whatever works for you.
Of course, he's Greek. He hails from Myra in Lycia, a Greek-speaking province of the Roman Empire. He even made the list of famous Greeks on display at the Mad Greek restaurant in Baker, Calif.--along with Homer, Alexander the Great, Plato and Melina Mercouri.
No, the Arabs and the Jews are more closely related than the native Jews in Israel and the Europeans. Both genetics and language similarities support this.
