On Wednesday night Megyn Kelly declared on her Fox News show that both Santa Claus and Jesus were white. Discussing a piece in Slate by Aisha Harris about a black versus white Santa, Kelly that "just because it makes you feel uncomfortable it doesn't mean it has to change."

Megyn Kelly has jumped the shark for Fox News .... it’s over for this bleached blonde bimbo who thinks the way she does and support gays and then wants to comment on Jesus and Santa...there’s a reason why Christmas is celebrated - and it’s not for some stupid tree or fat old man that watches kids at nite with some naughty list!

I hope she was just being ironic or sarcastic. This sounds like something the left would wrongly accuse Sarah Palin of saying. She may have meant, stop trying to pretend that the prevailing view of most the public is NOT that most people imagine both Santa and Jesus as Caucasian men in certain age groups.
Or a young version of Albert Einstein.
Well its not that hard. All you have to do is accept Jesus and then you know that you know.
The "North Pole" Santa may be mythical, but the myth is based upon the very real historical figure, St Nicholas.

Jesus is The Light and I like to think light would reflect from you so He will appear what ever color you are. At least that was what I told my Sunday School Class many years ago.

How swarthy is pure conjecture...I tend to think Med peoples were less swarthy in antiquity than now and depending on who’s writing it...research bears that out...how much less swarthy who knows

Uh... yah, and they are the descendants of Jews that were dispersed ~from~ Israel throughout Europe and came ~back~ to Israel. The Israelites most likely were more fair-skinned than even the Arabs or Egyptians. They were certainly whiter than the black Africans, which is what Megan is talking about. So what's the big deal?

I think that's all she meant as well. Sure, it's not important how swarthy these people were; but outright black is unlikely. I had a black teacher in high school in the 70's who was a black power type and was a believer in Jesus being black. He also included Cleopatra and Hannibal as black.
