Of course, he's Greek. He hails from Myra in Lycia, a Greek-speaking province of the Roman Empire. He even made the list of famous Greeks on display at the Mad Greek restaurant in Baker, Calif.--along with Homer, Alexander the Great, Plato and Melina Mercouri.
