(AP) Republican Donald Trump’s victory in Wisconsin was reaffirmed Monday following a recount that showed him defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes. Wisconsin finalized its recount on the same day that a federal judge issued a stinging rejection of a Green Party-backed request to recount paper ballots in Pennsylvania’s presidential election and scan some counties’ election systems for signs of hacking. Green Party candidate Jill Stein successfully requested, and paid for, the Wisconsin recount while her attempts for similar statewide recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan were blocked by the courts. Stein only got about 1 percent of...

The Associated Press reported Monday afternoon that Trump was the winner in the recount by more than 22,000 votes. In the recount, Trump actually picked up 162 votes according to the AP. The Wisconsin Elections Commission certified the results Monday. The final results reportedly changed by fewer than 1,800 votes. Democratic stronghold City of Milwaukee and a few others. Hillary Clinton has only reduced Donald Trump’s lead by several dozen votes in the days of recounting, nowhere near enough to alter the election. Trump won Wisconsin by more than 22,000 votes. Green Party nominee Jill Stein paid at least $3.5 million in donated money for the recount. The latest spreadsheet released December 11 shows that the City of Milwaukee’s totals still have not been fully updated to include absentee ballots, even though the Milwaukee County Clerk told the news media the recount was completed on Thursday, December 8, and only minor...

The latest update in the Wisconsin recount shows that 95% of all presidential ballots have now been counted, but there are still two glaring omissions: The City of Milwaukee and dozens of wards in the City of Madison. Both of those cities are populous Democratic and Hillary Clinton strongholds, and their recounted returns had not all been reported to the Wisconsin Election Commission as of December 10. The state must certify its results by December 13 or it risks its electoral votes not counting. There are 148,404 votes still missing from the public recount results posted so far, according to...

Two pro-Trump groups hoped to get a federal judge to end Wisconsin’s recount early, but Judge James Peterson put an end to those hopes rather quickly. The Associated Press had barely even reported the challenge when Peterson declined to intervene. The issue will become moot soon enough anyway: A federal judge will on Friday consider halting Wisconsin’s presidential recount.President-elect Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes in the state. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein requested the recount to determine if election machines were hacked. Two pro-Trump groups, the Great America PAC and the Stop Hillary PAC,...

A federal judge on Friday dismissed a request from President-elect Donald Trump's supporters to halt a recount in Wisconsin, according to a new report. Judge James Peterson's ruling in Madison will let the controversial review requested by Green Party nominee Jill Stein continue, reports The Wisconsin State Journal. Stein initially requested the recount in Wisconsin to determine whether election machines there were hacked last month. President-elect Donald Trump defeated Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes in the state on Election Day. Two pro-Trump groups, the Great America PAC and the Stop Hillary PAC, filed a federal...

Day 8 of the Wisconsin recount followed the same pattern as the days that came before: Candidates won and lost votes, but nothing came close to altering Donald Trump’s November 8 victory. The Wisconsin Election Commission reported that Hillary Clinton was up a net 61 votes on day 8. That’s the figure that matters; however, that’s an insignificant number considering that Donald Trump leads by about 22,000 votes in Wisconsin overall. Green Party nominee Jill Stein spent $3.5 million on the Wisconsin recount.“The results of the election are not going to change in this recount,” Joe Czarnezki, Milwaukee County clerk said...

MADISON, Wis. – The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has turned its wrath again on Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr.The newspaper, in what Clarke has described as a “political hit job,” has made the sheriff out to be some heartless warden of a county jail that recorded four deaths over the course of six months.Clarke says he’s in the Journal Sentinel’s crosshairs because of his support for President-elect Donald Trump and because the sheriff, according to reports, is in the running for a position in the Trump administration.Reading the Journal Sentinel, it’s hard to say who it likes least, Trump...

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A Republican congressman who derided Wisconsin's capital city as a communist haven is not backing down from his comments even as those in the city that prides itself as being "77 square miles surrounded by reality" take offense. Rep. Sean Duffy, of Wausau, called Madison a "communist community" in a recent Fox News interview and blasted the ongoing presidential recount. Duffy says, "It's a sad state of affairs for these Democrats who don't believe in democracy and freedom and free elections."

As Wisconsin recount results come in Milwaukee wards are showing anomalies that indicate potential absentee ballot fraud. The Wisconsin Board of Elections of elections is withholding Milwaukee absentee ballots from the official recount which as of day 5 shows Hillary Clinton losing 34,243 votes. In doing so they may be telegraphing to the public there has been vote fraud conducted on behalf of Hillary Clinton as the missing votes, whether or not they are all absentee ballots, vastly favor Hillary Clinton by a margin of 10 to 1. According to the official original vote counts, Hillary Clinton won Milwaukee county...

Statewide recounts in key 2016 battlegrounds are proceeding in fits and starts -- but doing little to change the math behind Donald Trump's victory. In Wisconsin, one of three states where Green Party candidate Jill Stein has sought a fresh tabulation, the president-elect has even gained on Hillary Clinton. The push for a recount in Pennsylvania, meanwhile, is awaiting a federal court's OK, and a similar effort in Michigan has run into new judicial turbulence. But while Trump narrowly defeated Clinton in all three states, the numbers trickling in look unlikely to call into question the Nov. 8 results. “In...

So Jill Stein is demanding three state recounts, for "election integrity" as she says. Odd that she is only targeting states where Trump won by razor-thin margins. Why not also recount New Hampshire (Hillary by 0.4%)? I hope that the next time something like this happens, the GOP immediately demands a recount as well, but of those states the Democrats barely won.

The Wisconsin recount had almost entered its halfway mark on the morning of December 6. With the state’s 10 electoral votes possibly at stake, how close is Wisconsin to finishing its recount?Six of the state’s 72 counties had completed the recount and fewer than half of the state’s votes had been recounted as of the morning of December 6.Another 12 counties had not submitted any recounted returns, and the rest of the counties had submitted partial returns, according to the Wisconsin Election Commission day 5 spreadsheet (posted December 5.) Some of the counties with partial returns are close to finishing,...
  • Early Results From Wisconsin Recount Increase Donald Trump’s Margin Of Victory

WISCONSIN Trump had widened his victory margin over Clinton in Wisconsin by 146 votes, with 23 of the state’s 72 counties having finished their recounts as of Tuesday. In those counties, Trump gained 105 votes and Clinton dropped 41 votes. Trump defeated Clinton in Wisconsin by about 22,000 votes. A federal judge has scheduled a hearing for Friday in a lawsuit filed last week by a Trump voter and two super PACs seeking to stop the recount.
