I try to avoid listening to politicians, particularly Joe Biden. But his remarks in a speech that he inherited a train wreck from Republicans struck me as … wrong and grossly misleading. First, Democrats had a majority in the House of Representatives, not Republicans. Second, since 2020 was the outbreak of Covid-19 and subsequent economic shutdowns, I am going to look at things at January 2020 just prior to the economic shutdowns, mostly by state governors and city mayors. President Trump's campaign released a new ad on Sunday touting the administration's achievements in the face of increased opposition from "the president's enemies."  The ad, dubbed "Let President Trump do his job," begins by attacking congressional Democrats, the media and "career politicians" for "standing in the way of success."  It then focuses on a shrinking unemployment rate, stock market highs and a strengthened military.
