Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s Michigan recount unintentionally exposed major voter fraud in Detroit. Election officials in Michigan found that 37% of precincts in Detroit tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books. Hillary Clinton won Wayne County over Donald Trump 67% to 30%. State officials are planning to examine about 20 Detroit precincts where ballot discrepancies occurred. Detroit News reported: Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of...

LANSING — All sides agreed Tuesday that state and local election officials did a generally good job on a statewide presidential recount that was halted by the courts on Wednesday after two and a half days of counting. But testimony before the Board of State Canvassers differed on whether the partial recount requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein served a useful purpose. Still, the board voted Tuesday 3-1 to formally reject Stein's request for a recount. To Stein attorney Mark Brewer, who formally withdrew Stein's recount request at Tuesday's meeting of the state elections panel, the recount turned up...

And then there was only Wisconsin. As widely expected, US District Court Judge Paul S. Diamond denied a demand from Jill Stein to order a statewide recount in Pennsylvania. Time had run out on that option, Diamond ruled, and he did not want to “disenfranchise some six million Pennsylvania voters.” A federal judge rejected a Green Party-backed request to recount paper ballots in Pennsylvania’s presidential election, won by Republican Donald Trump, and scan some counties’ election systems for signs of hacking. So far, no publication of the order has emerged, but this outcome was all but certain on Friday. The...

A federal judge dealt another blow Monday to the Green Party-backed push for a presidential election recount in key battleground states, rejecting a request to recount paper ballots in Pennsylvania and scan some county systems for signs of hacking. The Green Party has made similar attempts at recounts in Wisconsin and Michigan, all states won by President-elect Donald Trump. But while the Wisconsin count is almost done, a federal judge halted Michigan's recount last week - the decision Monday in Pennsylvania amounts to another setback for Jill Stein and her allies. In his 31-page decision, U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond...

A federal judge on Monday issued a stinging rejection of a Green Party-backed request to recount paper ballots in Pennsylvania's presidential election, won by Republican Donald Trump, and scan some counties' election systems for signs of hacking. In his 31-page decision, U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond said there were at least six grounds that required him to reject the Green Party's lawsuit, which had been opposed by Trump, the Pennsylvania Republican Party and the Pennsylvania attorney general's office.

Former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein received another defeat Monday morning, in her efforts to force a recount of election ballots in Pennsylvania. U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond said “No,” on Monday, rejecting the case completely. Out of the 6 million votes cast in Pennsylvania, Trump had won over Clinton by about 44,000 votes. Stein had gone after the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Democratic stronghold City of Milwaukee and a few others. Hillary Clinton has only reduced Donald Trump’s lead by several dozen votes in the days of recounting, nowhere near enough to alter the election. Trump won Wisconsin by more than 22,000 votes. Green Party nominee Jill Stein paid at least $3.5 million in donated money for the recount. The latest spreadsheet released December 11 shows that the City of Milwaukee’s totals still have not been fully updated to include absentee ballots, even though the Milwaukee County Clerk told the news media the recount was completed on Thursday, December 8, and only minor...

A federal judge ruled late Wednesday night that the Michigan recount should immediately be halted. The judge noted that the recount was a waste of taxpayer money as there was no proof of fraud or mistakes presented by Jill Stein or the Green Party. US District Judge Mark Goldsmith noted that a “recount as an audit” of an election with no proof of fraud has never been endorsed by any court and that Michigan will be no exception. However, Recount 2016 leader Jill Stein says the ruling was “disheartening.” CNN reports that a federal judge squashed all hopes of a...

Green Party candidate Jill Stein concedes Michigan recount is over but vows to take fight over voter reform to 'court of public opinion' Stein raised over $7m to fund recount in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin Reversal of results in those states would hand presidency to Hillary Clinton Michigan court put a halt to the recount on Friday Donald Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes, though Stein alleges voter fraud Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate in the recent presidential election, conceded on Friday that there would not be a recount of votes in Michigan. The latest update in the Wisconsin recount shows that 95% of all presidential ballots have now been counted, but there are still two glaring omissions: The City of Milwaukee and dozens of wards in the City of Madison. Both of those cities are populous Democratic and Hillary Clinton strongholds, and their recounted returns had not all been reported to the Wisconsin Election Commission as of December 10. The state must certify its results by December 13 or it risks its electoral votes not counting. There are 148,404 votes still missing from the public recount results posted so far, according to...

Two pro-Trump groups hoped to get a federal judge to end Wisconsin’s recount early, but Judge James Peterson put an end to those hopes rather quickly. The Associated Press had barely even reported the challenge when Peterson declined to intervene. The issue will become moot soon enough anyway: A federal judge will on Friday consider halting Wisconsin’s presidential recount.President-elect Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes in the state. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein requested the recount to determine if election machines were hacked. Two pro-Trump groups, the Great America PAC and the Stop Hillary PAC,...

Federal Judge Paul Diamond heard arguments today. The computer science expert whose opinions catapulted presidential election recounts into the national spotlight today admitted in a federal courtroom in Philadelphia that there’s no evidence Pennsylvania’s voting systems were hacked. Meanwhile, an expert witness testifying on behalf of the GOP — which is working to protect electors for President-elect Donald Trump — said the likelihood that Pennsylvania’s voting system was hacked is about as likely as aliens living among us. It’s possible, but there’s no evidence to show it’s happening.

Jill Stein makes a perfect casting choice for the outlandish reality television series, “Bridezilla.” She possesses all the requisite antisocial behavior of a selfish bride-to-be on a mission to pull off a fantasy dream of her own making. Nothing gets in the way of Ms. Stein being demanding or acting oblivious to the effect she’s having on those caught in the crossfire of her recount campaign. Just ask the good folks in Wisconsin. Like a compulsive bride, Stein wanted everything to be perfect before the big launch and got a little crazy going before the Wisconsin Electoral Commission. She demanded...

Chester County on Thursday ordered a hand recount of 190,462 paper ballots cast in last month's election, as former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein continues her bid for a statewide recount. The county's Board of Elections, which consists of the three county commissioners, ruled that the Department of Voter Services must recount the ballots in 143 of the 228 precincts for the presidential and U.S. Senate races. Many counties have adopted electronic voting systems, but Chester relies almost exclusively on paper ballots. Of nearly 275,000 ballots cast there last month, all but about 850 were on paper. The ruling...

A federal judge on Friday dismissed a request from President-elect Donald Trump's supporters to halt a recount in Wisconsin, according to a new report. Judge James Peterson's ruling in Madison will let the controversial review requested by Green Party nominee Jill Stein continue, reports The Wisconsin State Journal. Stein initially requested the recount in Wisconsin to determine whether election machines there were hacked last month. President-elect Donald Trump defeated Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton by more than 22,000 votes in the state on Election Day. Two pro-Trump groups, the Great America PAC and the Stop Hillary PAC, filed a federal...

Donald Trump should invite Jill Stein to Trump Tower for a talk. Why not? He's invited just about everybody else who knocked him around in his campaign for president. So why not Stein? That way the president-elect could work out a deal with the Massachusetts political gadfly. The deal would center around the new president's support for a Stein candidacy against U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, or Republican Gov. Charlie Baker, both of whom are expected to seek re-election in 2018. Both also opposed Trump's presidential candidacy, Warren especially. Warren can hardly mention his name without going po
