Explosion reported in Kuwait’s Wafra oilfield An explosion was reported Saturday, March 15, at Kuwait’s WW-63 oil well in the emirate’s southern Wafra field, within the partitioned neutral zone (PNZ), according to German news agency DPA. As part of recently completed work-over operations, WW-63’s rig was removed. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, which was handled by emergency teams and well control specialists.
