  • Washington Post's Dana Milbank ready to eat his Trump column (bon appetit, Dana)

Will Dana Milbank eat newspaper-lined tacos or ground newspaper falafel? Chilaquiles with strips of newspaper or crispy dumplings filled with newspaper? The Washington Post columnist has to choose a delicacy now that Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee for president. Last October, Milbank wrote that "I'm so certain Trump won't win the nomination that I'll eat my words if he does. Literally: The day Trump clinches the nomination I will eat the page on which this column is printed in Sunday's Post." By March, he sensed that his D-day -- dining day -- might be near. "I am taking...
  • I promised to eat my column if Trump was nominated. What goes well with newsprint?

Six months ago, I made a reckless vow. With Donald Trump dominating in polls, I said I’d eat a column — 18 column inches of toxic newsprint, wood-pulp, ink and all — if Trump won the Republican presidential nomination. My rationale: “Americans are better than Trump,” and Republican primary voters wouldn’t nominate “a candidate who expresses the bigotry and misogyny that Trump has.” his prediction still looks viable. More than 60 percent of Republican primary voters have rejected Trump so far, and there’s a decent chance Republicans can at least force the nationalist demagogue into a contested convention. They know...

Last week, Huffington Post's Nico Pitney was accused by Washington Post's Dana Mibank for being a "planted questioner"during a President Obama press conference. The two confronted one another today on CNN's Reliable Sources in front of Howard Kurtz and Washington Times reporter Amanda Carpenter. The showdown begins to get heated when Mr. Pitney called Mr. Milbank's past reporting on Obama's swimming trunks "pathetic." According to Mr. Pitney, when the segment ended Mr. Mibank looked over at Pitney and said, “You’re such a d***.” Check out the video below.
