UNSUNG HERO: Admiral Mike Rogers, Obama’s NSA Chief, Discovered Administration’s ‘702’ Illegal Spying Operation and Briefed Trump About Surveillance of Trump Tower I once posted about an Obama administration official who actually had integrity, a man who noticed that something was amiss and acted. It was this man who traveled to Trump Tower on November 17, 2016, to brief then-President-elect Donald Trump that communications from the building were being tapped. He did not notify his superior, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, beforehand. This man’s name is Mike Rogers. He served as the head of the National Security Agency (NSA)....

A quiet hero, most will never understand what Rogers did for our country. It’s difficult to fully convey or appreciate Admiral Rogers’ actions. He quietly stood against a deeply embedded Intelligence apparatus and risked his reputation and career. Although it may take some time, it is my hope that his role will be more fully appreciated. It’s entirely possible there would have been no FISA disclosure without the 2016 actions of Rogers. There might have been no investigation by Inspector General Horowitz.
