No sex, please: The celebrated bawdiness of New Orleans' French Quarter is getting out of hand, according to members of a legislative committee who voted Thursday to impose fines and a 10-day jail sentence for people having sex in public. Rep. Danny Martiny's bill would outlaw sexual intercourse in public "for the purpose of gaining the attention of the public." This bill is aimed at the most outrageous acts, said Martiny, R-New Orleans. "It's not trying to make Mardi Gras not fun."
