They told police that Fobbs suddenly launched an unprovoked attack on Richard, who was sitting on a bench outside the station’s waiting room, the report stated. Witnesses said Fobbs repeatedly hit Richard with his fists, leaving him bloodied. The incident was caught on the station’s surveillance camera. A Michigan referee of an adult-league soccer match died Tuesday, two days after being punched in the head by a player, authorities said. John Bieniewicz, 44, died at Detroit Receiving Hospital from injuries suffered in what police said was an unprovoked attack. The blow left the victim unconscious and not breathing on the field, Livonia Police Chief Curtis Caid said. After the attack, the player fled the field and waved his middle finger at the crowd. Bieniewicz was in critical condition when he reached the hospital and was pronounced dead Tuesday morning.

A Vietnam Veteran was attacked at a Columbia County convenience store Monday. He said he was in line to buy water after a run, but investigators say another customer was way out of line when he punched him. After fighting for our county for 21 years, Jacob Cooter, 77, said he knows a thing or two about a fair fight. "For the man to sucker punch me, he's kind of a coward," Cooter said. Homicide detectives were investigating Sunday the death of a 65-year-old man who was beaten by two unidentified women at a Willowbrook Metro train station. L.A. resident John Whitmore was waiting for a train at the Metro-Blue Line near Imperial Highway and South Wilmington Avenue (map) on Friday, June 13 when two black women kicked Whitmore and hit him with their hands until he collapsed, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release.

“They were returning to the victim’s house from White Castle,” said Ferndale Police Sgt. San Diego police are looking for four people in connection to a deadly attack in the Gaslamp District. In the early morning hours of June 15, 25-year-old Michael Beaver was found unconscious on a sidewalk in the 500 block of F Street. He later died at the hospital.
