An Edwardsville man was arrested Thursday and charged with raping a 6-year-old girl. Joseph D. Marcy, 23, of Roosevelt Street, is accused of having sexual intercourse with the girl at his Hilltop Apartments home during the period beginning Jan. 20 until recently, according to arrest papers filed by Edwardsville police. A warrant for Marcy’s arrest was issued Thursday morning. Police said they captured him later Thursday in his family’s vehicle on Grove Street.
