GREENVILLE, Mich.- A 28-year-old man is dead after a fight inside a home Saturday morning in Greenville. According to Greenville Dept. of Public Safety Director Mark Reiss, officers in the area of the 100 block of S. Barry Street heard a single gunshot around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 28-year-old man from Gowen deceased on the floor, naked. The man had been shot by the homeowner.

NORTH PORT (FOX 13) - A man who broke into a home in North Port was shot to death by someone inside the home. It happened just after midnight Saturday on Deming Avenue. Police say the intruder managed to get inside the home and that's when he was shot by one of the occupants.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night at a home in the 6900 block of Puget Beach Rd. NE, near Olympia. Thurston County sheriff’s deputies say a couple arrived home to find a male burglar in their house. A confrontation ensued and the homeowner shot the suspect in the leg.

The homeowner told police he woke up when he heard a window smash in his home on Dennis and Sampson. Investigators said the homeowner then grabbed his gun and shot a man who was breaking in through the front door window. The robber was hit in the abdomen.

An East Point homeowner said he was protecting his home and family when he shot and killed an intruder Tuesday morning, police said. About 9:30 a.m. the homeowner heard “a commotion, retrieved a firearm and went to investigate,” said Lt. Cliff Chandler, spokesman for East Point police. Andrew C. Cannon, 37, 7443 Spillway Road, was charged with criminal trespassing after allegedly entering an enclosed porch in the 400 block of East Seventh Street at 8:18 a.m. The resident held Cannon at gunpoint until officers arrived.

It happened just before midnight Saturday night. Deputies say Steven Christopher Followell went to a home and threatened the homeowner, forcing his way into the home. Deputies say the homeowner shot Followell sometime during the altercation.

An intruder armed with a gun was shot by a homeowner Tuesday afternoon in Palermo, according to the Butte County Sheriff's Office. Sgt. Matt Keeling said the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of shots fired a little after 2 p.m. at a house on the 6900 block of Upper Palermo Road. "When I arrived, I found an individual in the kitchen on the floor and unresponsive," Keeling said at the scene. "At this time, we don't know anything else."

HOUSTON –- Police said three teens who broke into a northwest Houston home overnight were greeted by a homeowner with a gun.
