Actor Samuel L Jackson is to star in a new film exploring the aftermath of the Iraq war, it is reported. The 57-year-old star will play an army medic who has difficulty resuming his normal life in Home of the Brave, says Hollywood newspaper Daily Variety. The new film is to be produced by Irvine Winkler, whose other credits include Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull and Rocky, which starred Sylvester Stallone.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Samuel L. Jackson will soon have more in common than just a last name, as they're both up for roles in "Home of the Brave," a wartime drama set against the backdrop of the war in Iraq.
