MIAMI (AP) _ A federal judge has set a Monday trial date for the claims of a dozen people who said they were wrongly assaulted by federal officers during the raid that removed Elian Gonzalez from his family's home. Apologies in advance to anyone who thinks this is silly. I do too, really. As I was scanning the news around the world this morning, I noticed with curiosity a graphic showing the famous scene of Elian Gonzales' abduction by U.S. federal agents in 1999. Oddly, the story had nothing to do with Elian Gonzales, or any matter in the U.S. The graphic was simply used for it's shocking display of an automatic weapon aimed at a child's head.
