Bellevue, WA – An internal e-mail adds to the evidence that the King County elections department knew about No Signature On File (NSOF) ballots well before it claimed to have discovered its “mistake.” King County rejected more than 700 ballots because it didn’t have signatures on file to match the signatures on the ballots. On Nov. 3, 2004, an e-mail sent to King County Elections Superintendent Bill Huennekens included a list of NSOF voters. A copy of the e-mail is attached. But in December, when news of the NSOF ballots became public, King County Elections Director Dean Logan, Huennekens’ boss,...

Since folks here did the courtesy of reading and commenting on my analysis of Judge Bridges' rulings yesterday, I wanted to call attention to a post I've done today, looking at the changing elements of the story from different versions of the Seattle Times article. Did Judge Bridges really say Rossi needed to prove illegal votes? Did he imply it? (Did he mean it?) Constructive commentary is welcome!

Below is the floor peech of Rep. Ric Keller (R.-Fla.) regarding Electoral Vote count delivered on January 6, 2005. There's a wise saying we've used quite a bit in Florida over the past four years that the other side would do well to learn -- GET OVER IT. Isn't it ironic that the only people who refuse to "move on" are the people from MoveOn.org and their hero Michael Moore? My colleagues across the aisle have two sides to choose from, the John Kerry side that acknowledges the election is over and President Bush has won. Or the Michael Moore...

MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress. The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy. I still think...

Sick Bed, New York— Nothing is in writing and daybreak is a long way away, but it appeared all but certain in early evening Wednesday that House Democrats had secured the support of up to half a dozen Senators to formally challenge the Electoral College slate from Ohio, when the votes are opened before a joint session of Congress tomorrow.Congressional sources tell this reporter that the house half of the written objection — which has the declared support of more than a dozen Representatives — is expected to be signed by Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio. Republican leadership expects...

I posted a thread before about some inside information that national review had that boxer MIGHT contest the election.. But now... I was watching MSNBC and they said that Barbra Boxer will stand and contest the results and join Conyers. Its all over DU if you want to check out there forums (if you can). Sorry no link yet, just saw it on TV. If and when this goes down, what exactly happends? Is it an automatic 2 hour debate and vote or do they have to vote on having the debate in the first place?

Ohio's official non-recount ends amidst new evidence of fraud, theft and judicial contempt mirrored in New Mexico COLUMBUS -- The Ohio presidential recount was officially terminated Tuesday, December 28. But the end comes amidst bitter dispute over official certification of impossible voter turnout numbers, over the refusal of Ohio's Republican Supreme Court Chief Justice to recuse himself from crucial court challenges involving his own re-election campaign, over the Republican Secretary of State's refusal to testify under subpoena, over apparent tampering with tabulation machines, over more than 100,000 provisional and machine-rejected ballots left uncounted, over major discrepancies in certified vote counts...

This is an article submitted to a 1999 Louisville Sentinel contest to find out who had the wildest Christmas dinners. This won first prize. As a joke, my brother used to hang a pair of panty hose over his fireplace before Christmas. He said all he wanted was for Santa to fill them. What they say about Santa checking the list twice must be true because every Christmas morning, although Jay's kids' stockings were overflowed, his poor pantyhose hung sadly empty. One year I decided to make his dream come true. I put on sunglasses and went in search of...

Sunday, December 5th, 2004Vote 'A.B.G.' (Anyone But Gleeson)Dear Friends,Sorry I haven't written anything on my site for a month. I've been wallowing in sorrow (and chili cheese fries) over the stolen 2004 election. Is stolen too strong a word? I think not. Consider this map of Ohio, the state which saved Bush's bacon. Mmmmm, bacon.I'm sorry, what was I saying? Read that back to me. Ohio, right. That map, my friends, proves no fewer than 67,148 counts of people having to wait in line to vote. Sometimes, in the rain. And when they finally reached the polls, at least 29 were...

WASHINGTON - The five candidates vying to unseat Democratic Rep. Sam Farr of California have little in common - except their address and the likelihood that they will lose. The Republican, the Libertarian, the Green, the Peace and Freedom candidate and the write-in independent all work from the same donated office space in a former golf shop as they pursue longshot quests to topple the six-term House member. Their improbable arrangement saves money, but it's also a conscious statement about the near-impossibility of beating a congressional incumbent in California. "This American system of a representative government, it does not exist...

As the final month of the campaign begins, California voters are uninterested in and uninformed about one of the top races on the Nov. 2 ballot, according to a statewide Field Poll released Wednesday. --snip-- "In the entire 25 years that I've been with the Field Poll, I've not seen the kind of disengagement with a U.S. Senate campaign that we've seen in this cycle, and it's certainly benefiting Boxer," he said. --snip-- The matchup has failed to generate serious attention from the media, which campaign advisers blame for the dearth of public interest. But DiCamillo said the absence of...
