I disagree on that point. The vast majority of Greenlanders are Inuit - Eskimos who migrated in from the Arctic (Canada and Alaska).

Many years later, Greenland was invaded and claimed by Vikings and Danes from Europe. They established a settlement, but it failed and the land returned to the Inuit. Why should the Danes still claim ownership or profit from its sale?

Looking at the photo, I just can't see how a woman such as this could be "disrespected".
She looks respectable to me...

IF this new battery is:

Comparable in size and weight to existing batteries
Will charge in 5 minutes
200-mile range with headlights/heater on
Made using easily obtainable materials (few or no rare earths)
Not temperature sensitive (won't die in the cold or catch fire)
costs $1000 or less to produce (battery only, not the whole car)
Reliable for 100K cycles

That's a lot to ask, but it truly would revolutionize the auto industry if it can do all this. We'll see.

Any idea what this consortium is going to use the space for?
Shopping malls are over with now, will it be a homeless shelter?
Thousands of apartments?

From what I understand, Renee's two older kids were taken away from her by her first (ex)husband.

Her youngest child's dad, Renee's second husband, is dead. Now Renee is also dead, that makes him an orphan. Might be for the best.

Trying to develop Greenland would be a huge drain on US resources for decades.

What area is not covered in thousands of feet of ice, is solid rock, unsuitable for farming. Other than a few sheep, the only food to be had is fish, seal, and whale blubber (that's when the ocean is not frozen solid).

Mining? There may be some minerals there, once again under thousands of feet of ice. After you dig through the glacier and blast it out of solid rock, there is no way to transport it out except by dog sled. There is little or no transportation infrastructure except in cities on the coast.

If we need it for defense, I can see us building another base or three in Greenland. I'm all for defense, but don't expect anything on Greenland to make a profit.

One of those bases could be a Federal holding facility, like Gitmo but chillier. The Somalis and Venezuelans would love it there.

I'll be watching out for Becca, Renee's partner.

Israeli passengers were blocked from boarding a flight at Milan airport after a group of pro-Palestinian travelers formed a human barrier, shouted antisemitic slurs, and delayed the flight for over an hour.

What was the net outcome? Did the plane take off with Palestinian protesters on board, or Israeli passengers, or both? Did anyone lose their seat?

That's how I gauge who won this altercation: the Israelis, who did nothing wrong and only wanted to board their flight, or the Palestinians, who blocked the aisle and shouted expletives and threats to keep the Jews from boarding?

Was it just like the recent soccer game in which Israeli fans were banned from the stadium for "safety" Did the Palis win by intimidation again?
