Julian Assange accuses Hillary Clinton of misleading Americans about the true scope of Islamic State’s support from Washington’s Middle East allies. In a 2014 email made public by Assange’s WikiLeaks last month, Hillary Clinton, who had served as secretary of state until the year before, urges John Podesta, then an advisor to Barack Obama, to “bring pressure” on Qatar and Saudi Arabia, “which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL [Islamic State, IS, ISIS] and other radical Sunni groups.”

Yes, I’m voting for Donald Trump. And I’m proud of it. If anyone had told me two years ago that I’d be making that statement, I would have done a Jon Stewart eye roll and stare. What? The guy from reality TV? The “You’re fired” guy with the funny hair and New York accent? That guy?! But things have happened in the last few years that have made me —and many pro-Israel Americans in both countries—decide that this is not only our best but our only choice.

She said the South Side students were tasked with the responsibilities of changing "skewed" narratives about their communities, and would encounter people along the way who would doubt them. She said students could change things by what they say, do and how they carry themselves. "That's a burden that President Obama and I proudly carry every single day in the White House, because we know that everything we do and say can either confirm the myths about folks like us — or it can change those myths," she said.

Great video interview of football great Burgess Owens by Steve Malzberg. Some quotes from the interview: "The pathway that the black race took is exactly the pathway that america will take if we don't become engaged and become aware." "When we see the black family today is exactly what the american family will be if we don't wake up and understand that is that has been done to us over the last hundred years." "95% of black americans have voted for the same party for the past 40 or 50 years." "There should never be a time when 95% of...

Today I heard a bit of Hannity interviewing Scott Rasmussen and John Zogby. They said things I really wasn't expecting and did not like to hear: - There are those who will not change their vote no matter what. At present it is (if I remember correctly) 44%O and 42%M. It is the rest that the matter and who the debate is aimed at. - Wright, Ayers, etc will get him no traction. He needs to address the economy. - McCain lost the first 2 debates because he came across as disrespectful and grumpy. In the first he would not...

We all know Biden is a joke as a VP selection. But there must be a reason he was selected. Here's my take on it. Hold on to your tin-foil hats for just a little longer: Al-quaida is very much into symbolism. They picked September 11 to symbolize 9-1-1, the national emergency phone number. The symbolism of an Obama-Biden ticket being so close in spelling to o-b-l would have Al-quaida fans jumping in the streets should bho win this election. They are probably already convinced that o-b-l is running for POTUS in spirit. There are some moles in the Obama...

One of South America's few remaining uncontacted indigenous tribes has been spotted and photographed on the border between Brazil and Peru. The Brazilian government says it took the images to prove the tribe exists and help protect its land. The pictures, taken from an aeroplane, show red-painted tribe members brandishing bows and arrows. More than half the world's 100 uncontacted tribes live in Brazil or Peru, Survival International says. Stephen Corry, the director of the group - which supports tribal people around the world - said such tribes would "soon be made extinct" if their land was not protected. 'Monumental...
  • Saudi oil output hike would not solve US problems: Bush (W tells it like it is)

Saudi oil output hike would not solve US problems: Bush US President George W. Bush said on Saturday that a hike in oil output by Saudi Arabia would not solve American energy problems. "It's not enough, it's something but it doesn't solve our problem," Bush told reporters in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. Bush said he was "pleased" with a Saudi decision taken on May 10 to increase its oil production by 300,000 barrels per day in response to customers, but said that he was "also realistic" about what the Americans should do. "Our problem in America gets...
  • Who can the Dems nominate? (Vanity)

I's like some Freepers opinions as to who possibly can run on the Dem side? Conventional wisdom aside, I don't think Hillary will get the nomination- too many dems either don't like her or don't think she can win the election. Obama? Not his time. Gore, Edwards, Kerry? They are past their time. There has to be some unknown out there, or some voice from the past, but who? Speculation invited.
