  • Conservatives urge Bush to go his own way

Pat Buchanan doesn't get it any more than the liberals do. George W never did and never has and never will run his campaign to appease ANYONE on any side. I know because I did continual research on George W as governor... he does not set policy according to polls or what might get him reelected... he really is one of those rare politicians tht does things he thinks will be good for the country he loves. I know that is a really hard concept to get your head around, but it is true, nonetheless... I know, cause I tried to prove otherwise for a number of years.

Write Wing Warriors do NOT have it wrong. This is not a matter of marketing or that Kerry didnt carry the left wing message. This is a case of the liberals still do NOT understand that character really does matter.

I could go through this article sentence by sentence and show the fallacy... but I will answer to the Nov 3rd Vietnam Day... You got that exactly right! My brother and the love of my life are both Vietnam Vets and I was the sister and sweetheart here at home that supported them and this country... there is no way to describe the utter horror it would have meant to us if Kerry had been elected.

Keep in mind, that the horror of Vietnam, the reason that those of us that lived through that time can't let it go is because it was Kerry and his kind that forced upon this country the only shame we ever had to face. Never before did this country ever cut and run before and refused to go through the hardships that the fight for freedom requires.

It was Kerry and his ilk that spoke eloquently and convinced this country to let millions get slaughtered because we refused to fight for freedom.

If you think that sounds harsh, I am sorry, before Vietnam, this country faced and fought all our evils, and no matter how wrong we might have been, right and liberty prevailed... until Vietnam... Kerry chose the wrong side then and every fight for freedom since... this country affirmed it's desire for goodness in defeating Kerry... May Freedom ever reign.

You got it, THAT's WHAT I'M SHOUTING... I have been trying so hard to reach out and not GLOAT... but I have been listening all these months to Michael Moore and Whoopi Golberg and all the other AH calling my president all kinds of unspeakable names... this is from one who has known him and his family from way back in Texas and have known that George W and his family has NEVER deserved the hatred and viterol they have gotten from the left.. it has angered me and forced me to restrain my anger... GAWD I DESERVE to rejoice and gloat and least just a bit??? Doncha think?

I have not yet found the link to send them a letter, but I will. My ancestors were also Irish (and Scot but what the hey) but I do see a lot of similarities. I have for many years said I was half Irish and half Scot and 100% Texan.

George W may have not been born and bred Texas, but he grew up here and he has the tenacity of a Texan. Though it has been disparaged throughout the world, W embodies the best of a Texas cowboy. I could go on and on about what that is, but the best of it encompasses the bottom line of it does not matter where ya come from, what matters is what ya do with it. I was very, very pleased to see that the majority of America confirmed and validated my belief that she believed like we do in Texas... and apparently as do the Irish.

Moore LardO never really cared about politics or issues or ever had a REAL belief in his life. He has always been about cashing in... the only ones that didn't know that was the demwits. Michael Moore will be doing his next film on the STOOPID WHITE DEMWITS and WHY they didn't GET IT!

LOLOL, The Dems thought they did GET IT... didnt you hear all the altar boy stuff??? The only problem was, not only did Kerry NOT sound credible to anyone with a brain... it just so happens we are NOT the dummies the dems and MSM think we are. And on top of that, NONE of liberals believed Kerry either, and WE knew it!

Pat encouraged Kerry to delay conceding????? I am glad if Pat Buchanan apologized for not cutting off ODonell's mike, but I am also glad that he didn't so that everyone could see the maniacal nature of the opposition. I admire O'Neil more than I can express. He had a legitimate issue that was heartfelt for him. It had nothing to do with politics other than his and the other vets inability to sit by and allow this country to elect someone, during a time of war, who had coldly and deliberately done so much damage to our vets.

I got distracted by a phone call so my last post was somewhat hazy... but I do think from what I am seeing from the media (who is doing their best to spin the election in such a way it does not reflect on how badly they 'got it wrong') and from the dems (who are blaming Kerry) they still do not seem to understand that liberalism is just wrong and (as the Write Wing Warrior creed says, our mission is to eradicate liberalism... one vote at a time.)

I agree, I hope they keep it up since it will make them losers until this nation is totally Republican... and being a descendant of fighters of the Republic of Texas... I have a great respect for the Republic... but bunnytrails aside... I think a healthy public debate is a good thing but the democrats have gone nutzoid for years now and not even offering up a reasonable debate of issues.

I shudder to even admit it... but I am hoping that they are an alternative 3rd party someone gets this country to serious debating the important issues on how to achieve our goals.

That is not saying I disagree with President Bush... I happen to be an enthusiastic supporter that count ourselves fortunate that we defeated the media (Kerry was a non-entity that would not have even been viable without the media)... but someone else is going to have to take over in four years... I would like it to be someone who wins the election based on solid values and ideas rather than one that says the right things well enough to FOOL the voters.

Y'all are driving me crazy... WHAT is the final, final???? Is there one? NM is Bush and IOWA??? has that been called? And take it from a Texan the only votes Kerry got was in the Mexican Territories and from our Crazy (locked in the bedroom) Aunt Austin.

Even our four WELL-OVER-A-MILLION each populated major urban areas went Republican as usual.

GAWD, I LOVE living in Texas!

Pro-Lifers need to keep in mind how George W works. He is not going to attack abortion directly causing untold amounts of protests and possible Congressional rebellion. He is going to work on limitations. Ban on Partial Birth. Requiring parental permission for minors. That sort of thing. Then as far as judges, particularly supreme court justices, no litmus test. That means he is not going to nominate a judge based on how he will vote on abortion. He is going to nominate justices based on their record of upholding the Constitution as opposed to bypassing the Constitution and trying to legislate.

After 30 years, legalized murder is not going to be corrected overnight. Thank God we elected someone that will move us toward that correction with a great chance of success. Even if that means, at least for a while, a compromise and establishing a national focus and support of celebrating and protecting the life of the most innocent in our country.

Guilt and condemnation is not what encourages and changes people. This is particularly where the Democrat/Liberal party has gotten it so wrong (as did the Republicans for a time which got us Clinton.) It is the uplifting of what is right and good as a positive and good thing that changes hearts.

You tell someone how wrong, or bad, or horrible they are you will create resentment, discouragement or depression. Convince them of the joy and wonder of doing things that are right and good... and you will change hearts.

I can't get over this! If this map is accurate... how was this election even close. HOW can a few urban areas dictate so much of our politics?

Perhaps not, at least they didn't win.

PS: Speaking of Chicago... If this map is correct! Then Chicago virtually rules Illinois where virtually the rest of the state is RED! Could that be correct?

That map is totally beautiful... As a Texan I will point out that our only blue areas are the Mexican Territories and the Austin enclave that we kinda consider the crazy old Aunt we keep locked up in her bedroom.

A good Chicago friend of mine, where handguns are completely banned and hunting rifles greatly restricted, has told me that the violent crime rate close to double that of Houston (the closest city to Chicago in size and demographics in the country.) Texas has much more sensible gun laws, so you figure the why out.
