I have a question regarding the MEMORANDUM for the order to Bush to report for a physical. If this is an order to Lt Bush, why isn't it in "official military records"? You wouldn't type an order to someone and then keep it in your "personal files." Don't you think this would be in Lt Bush's files somewhere? I spent 22 1/2 years in the Air Force, and I don't ever remember seeing anyone get an order in the form of a MEMORANDUM.

I do not have a web site to post an image to, but I used Smart Capture to grab the signature from a CBS MEMO and then two from official government records released by the President. You should see the difference. I showed them to my wife who has no knowledge of all of this and she said they were not even close. If someone e-mails me I will send the *.jpg as an attachment to them so they can be posted.

Let's think about this. If Lt Col Killian kept these memos on 1Lt George Bush over a period of several months in some sort of "personal file", then he must have kept many, many more such memos on those who really screwed up. Perhaps CBS (Danny boy) would be kind enough to confirm that "Yes indeed, Lt Col Killian did in fact have quite a large number of memos in his 'personal files' regarding all the screw-ups in the 147th Fighter Grp. By the way from Oct 1963 to Oct 1966, I was assigned as a radio maintenance technician in the 747th AC&W Sq. which provided all of the radar and communications support for the 147th Fighter Grp. Just for info from many previous posts, two F-102's were kept on alert at all times, not just in "special 24 hour periods" as has been stated before.
