How do you post pictures on this site??

Can you insert a link to a pic that you have on a photo sharing website like PhotoBucket ?? When you post your reply do you just paste the link to the photo in message you are writing?

Any help will be appreciated!!!

WOW!!! I was on one of those far left websites when I learned of Free Republic. I said wow because the last thing I was expecting to find here was someone talking about gardening. I need to learn how to post pics here because I garden too!!

That website, whose name I can’t remember because there are many of them, was as you’d expect making fun of Free republic and the people who post here. They were poking fun of an article where a Freeper was writing about dealing with street gangs after the collapse of society.

Like usual that site ‘reproduced’ their own version of the freeper article. They claimed they did that “So that their dear readers would not have to come here and read it themselves” They did provide a link to Free Republic but it was a broken link that did not work. I’m sure that was intentional.

The lefties basically gave me the impression that this place was full of hateful old white men who will soon be dead. They said this place was anti-gay,anti-woman,anti-poor and I don’t need to go further because we have heard it all before.

Even worse than the article was the commenters.

One said that he was a white male teen and that he would be happy when the entire white race died out.

Most made fun of the idea that society might collapse.

Others felt that if society did collapse a few old white men will be easily dealt with. Some felt that taking things from conservatives would be as simple as sticking a gun in their face and telling them to hand it over. They went on to fantasize about old people on their knees begging for their lives.

I posted no replies there myself. I had the feeling that doing so would have given them the excuse to hack me and disrupt my life. People like that are good at shutting down one’s right to free speech. Besides...I’d rather deal with people like that face to face. Give them an education that there are some of us that are full of surprises and won’t do as they want us to do.

Any attempt to do so will be called “hateful rhetoric” by ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC and the list goes on and on and on...

They will harp on that so much that it will drown out the message of any ad against Obama who has discovered that if he stays in campaign mode he’s going to get what he and the Left wants.

The left has harped ever since I can remember that the main stream media is totally dominated by the far right and I am 60. They know that most young people even back in my day rarely paid attention to the news. This tactic worked well for them because if a young person did actually catch a brief blurb of the news, and they heard a reporter say something bad against someone on the right, They would think, WOW, that guy must really be bad if his own people have turned against him!”

I read material from all walks of life. I learned very early on that the media does not always tell the truth. The media gets by with this because we Americans have short attention spans. They detest those of us who do have memories and if you speak up they will label you as either insane or stupid.

Someday I will tell my story about the day I discovered that I needed to double check everything I heard on the news. It’s too long to tell now but I will say I was 12 years old when it happened.

A truly mentally ill person usually is too distracted and disorganized to study. A mildly mentally ill person can study and earn a degree but takes a lot of extra effort for them to do so.

What the majority of people don’t know and will never be told is that a person can kill somebody, get committed to a mental institution, and get released scot free in a year if they play their cards right.

I had an old con once tell me that in his case he studied a book on psychiatry. He picked a mental illness that was easy to fake. He committed his crime and when the cops caught him he started playing crazy. The court sent him for an evaluation. He played crazy 24/7 at that facility. The psychiatrists certified him as crazy so the court committed him to a mental health facility. After a little time went by he convinced the people at the mental hospital that they had ‘Cured’ him. They petitioned the court to release him and they did. Had he gone to prison he’d have gotten life. Instead he got a few months in a mental hospital which to a convict is far easier time than being in prison. A mentally ill person has far more ‘Rights’ than a convict does.

That convict basically told me that a diagnoses of mental illness is like a license to kill.

Many liberal psychiatrists claim that it is not possible for a person to fake mental illness. These are the type that are most likely to certify a sane person as mentally ill. They will also do their best to see to it that the criminal beats the death penalty even if they think the criminal is sane.

Let me get this straight.

Am I correct in thinking that this detective found the shooters user I.D. on an OWS forum and assumed he was part of that organization??

I have not said anything to anyone about his alleged connection to OWS because I am in the process of verifying the story. I try to keep what I say on the net as accurate as I possibly can.

I have mixed feelings on OWS. I think they are down on their luck people who are being manipulated by old radicals who are trying to re-live their youth through them. They truly believe that only the rich will have their taxes go up and don’t have the life experience to know that when a politician says “Tax the Rich” they really mean “Tax everybody with a job.” To be bluntly honest a few liberals believe that anyone with a job is rich and not paying their fair share.

Whatever I say about that organization I want it to be the truth.

I’ve only owned one Dachshund in my entire life. I’m almost 60 and had no use at all for them in the past and they did not much like me.

The female miniature part longhair Doxie I own now hated me as only a dachshund can. Took me a month and a half to become buddies with her.

She’s been with me for over two years. She is THE smartest dog I have ever owned and I have owned many dogs. Some of them were very smart, she has topped them.

Once she got over her hatred of me it was like she was trying to make it up to me for all that barking. Oh yes, she is spoiled but she has spoiled me in return. She’s spoiled but does not act it.

If i were to go by a dog intelligence guide I once had, according to it she would rate as being somewhat stupid. If my wife looks at her and says “Are you hungry” she licks her lips to answer yes. If I say that phrase she won’t respond, but if I say “Truck ride!” within seconds you will hear the scrambling of little toenails on the tile. If the wife says that she will not respond.

She knows our habits and personalities better than we do and adapts accordingly. There have been times she responded appropriately to whole sentences that had none of the keywords. To be honest I believe those occurances to be just accidents but there are times I am not so sure about that conclusion.

Before her my wife and I had sworn we would never own another dog. This dog belonged to my neighbor. They got into a divorce, the man moved out, and two weeks later she got it in her little head that I was going to be her new owner. That’s just how it turned out too.
