• America's History and the "Right to Die"

The drive to end the life of Terri Schiavo and the "right to die" debate brings echoes of America's past - a shameful time in our history, but unlike today, one where at least people spoke honestly of their intentions. Not taught in our history books is the leading role America's elites played in advancing the eugenics movement in the early 20th century. Professors from American universities and eugenics "think-tanks" won awards from German Nazis for advancing theories and methods for "improving the human race" through breeding and elimination of "defectives Much of this American eugenics movement focused on encouraging...

This is to all the thin skinned FReepers who got offended by Hannity's comments at the beginning of his 2/16/05 show. Ease up on the guy! Personally I like him, he's young, good looking (yea, the girls dig him), doesn't back down from a fight (something the Republicans desperately need) and he is on our side (really). The constant bashing he takes on this site makes me ill. One of the things he said yesterday was that we eat our own, who can disagree with that? 2500+ replies (at this writing) on a couple of sentences he spoke shows we...

The Sierra Club, the nation's oldest and arguably most influential environmental group, is being targeted by activists who want it to lobby to limit immigration in addition to its traditional work protecting the environment.

The Sierra Club's 750,000 members began voting last week to fill five seats on the board of directors. The final makeup of the board is likely to determine whether the club adds immigration to its agenda.

  • Second Amendment Sisters on Fox in Philly

I just saw the SAS on the "News at 10" on Fox 29. Very positive piece, actually I mean, very true piece. Showed the women and girls (a 14yr old) in a positive light. Told of how membership is at 10,000 and growing with the first college chapter starting soon, can't remember where. The Philadelphia chapter head, Penny Batchler(?)was very elequent and composed and she looked good too. In others words, she done good. Kudos to Fox 29 and Ms. Batchler.

The assumption that America is a civilized, representative democracy is one of dispute. True, we don't have physically warring factions, but the divisiveness of this diverse country is unquestionable. A country where only the strong survive is very much the status quo. A country where the politicians are bullied into accepting positions from vocal, and sometimes violent minorities, they might not personally agree with. Focusing on the violent. Let's take the latest example here in Pennsylvania. The Republican Governor, and both Republican controlled houses just passed a controversial bill adding homosexuals to an already bogus hate crime type bill. Homosexuals...

I know this is pure vanity, but here it is. I'm joining a new company and they have a "Get to know your fellow employee" kind of thing. They ask your name, marital status, favorite book (The Bible), movie (Road Warrior), music (Jazz), web site (Free Republic), etc.. My dilemma is I need a favorite quote. Some quotes are good for certain situations and some are not. As I respect and admire my Freeper family, I ask for your help.P.S. When asked; "what you want your co-workers to know about you", I penned a very pro-Second Amendment statement.

Dear Valued Lowe's Customer, Thank you for your recent email regarding Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. The following addresses concerns expressed by yourself and the NRA about certain firearm safety-related content on Lowe's web site and the web site of our non-profit home safety organization, Lowe's Home Safety Council. Lowe's is a home improvement retailer, and it is certainly not our intent to take a public policy position on the overall issue of Second Amendment rights in the U.S. The information in question was provided to Lowe's by a third party, the Consumer Federation of America, who had obtained it from ...

Confucius said: "Governing a large country is like cooking a very small fish. Excess always leads to disaster." He was right. Every form of government is repressive. It does not matter whether a government calls itself Liberal, Conservative, Royalist, Communist or Fascist -- it will pass more laws than it repeals. That means that regardless of what the government CALLS itself, there is a near-certain loss of human freedom every year. As these little annual losses add up, year by year, the natives get restless. The constantly-increasing level of compulsions resulting from the constantly-increasing quantity of legislation galls the people ...

Am I a Bad American ? by Ted Nugent I'm A Bad American This pretty much sums it up for me. I like big trucks, big boats, big houses, and naturally, pretty women. I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some midlevel governmental functionary with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts squirting out babies. I don't care about appearing compassionate. I think playing with toy guns doesn't make you a killer - I believe ignoring your kids and giving them Prozac might. I think I'm doing better ...
  • Protecting Voter Rights -- As long as they're Democrats

ISSUE: Recounts of the votes in Florida show that George Bush won, including the recounts using the standard Al Gore begged for. But Democrat National Committee (DNC) Chairman Terry McAuliffe wants to keep the controversy alive in hopes of stirring up resentment against President Bush. So McAuliffe (who was Bill Clinton's fundraiser) and the DNC have established the "Voting Rights Institute" and asked that anyone who has been denied the right to vote call their toll-free number and tell their story.ACTION ITEM: In the midst of the scores of lawsuits filed in Florida after the election, the only legal ballots ...

I was watching tv at my in-laws last night, when the most disgusting thing I saw was in a commercial. Serta sheep inquiring about suing because no one is counting sheep any more. The lawyer, none other than super scumbag F. Lee Bailey. I'm outraged! So I called and voiced my concerns to a very understanding woman, who was also outraged the he was advertising for them. 1 Samuel 13:19-2219: Now there was no smith to be found throughout all the land of Israel; for the Philistines said, "Lest the Hebrews make themselves swords or spears"; 20: but every one of the Israelites went down to the Philistines to sharpen his plowshare, his mattock, his axe, or his sickle; 21: and the charge was a pim for the plowshares and for the mattocks, and a third of a shekel for sharpening the axes and for setting the goads. 22: So on the day of the battle there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of ...

NATIONAL Radio talk show fires away at gun critics By DEBRA MCKINNEY Anchorage Daily News February 27, 2001 ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Former Marines Niels Green and Justin Giles are so passionate about the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms that they've launched a radio talk show in Alaska that's getting a lot of attention. They call it "The Great Big Gun Show." This is a place for ripping into those who favor gun control, those liberal judges and Democrats - "Demon Rats" as Giles calls them - as well as those "Volkswagen-bus-driving, dope-smoking, Birkenstock-wearing cowards." This is ...

Let me first start by saying, I'm no fan of Al Gore. In '92 I was a Conservative-leaning Democrat. I first registered to vote in '81 and voted Reagan twice and Bush twice with a smattering of Republicans and Democrats in there for good measure. Then the unthinkable happened, an obviously corrupt politician by the name of William Jefferson Clinton was elected President. Someone, who it seems, can do no wrong. Scandal after scandal, lawless and unconstitutional behavior abounded, and blatant disrespect for the office did not impede this man. My previous (slight) socialist leanings were met with the realization ...

Give It to Them Straight | 12/5/00 | John Ross, Author of "Unintended Consequences"
The biggest mistake we make is failing to take the moral high ground on our issue, and letting our enemies define the terms. THEY SAY: "We'd be better off if no one had guns."WE SAY: "You can never succeed at that, criminals will always get guns."(FLAW: The implication here is that if you COULD succeed, it would be a reasonable plan.) WE SHOULD SAY: "So, you want to institute a system where the weak and elderly are at the mercy of the strong, the lone are at the mercy of the gang. You want to give violent criminals a government ...
