Assimilation is the key to the illegal immigration problem!

Immigration officials raid Houston business. If we want more of the same I suggest we contact U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, to thank them and let them know we want MORE! Here's the url of their web site: http://www.ice.gov/about/contact.htm I think the office we need to contact is the Office of Public Affairs. If we want lots of letters of encouragement, we need to post an email link. I also believe we need to encourage Freepers to contact their local offices of ICE and demand they follow Houston's example. What politicians do we contact? The press? If...

Dear Mr. (name redacted): Thank you for contacting me concerning the ongoing debate over immigration reform. This is a complex issue, with many concerns, and it requires a comprehensive solution. 12 million undocumented workers are currently living in the United States, working, paying taxes, and raising children who are U.S. citizens. These undocumented immigrants contribute to our economy, and it is long past time to provide legal avenues to bring them out from the shadows. Border enforcement has increased dramatically from 1990 to 2004. The budget for the Border Patrol has increased from $263 million in 1990 to $1.6 billion...

I know my memory isn't what it used to be but I seem to recall that Gore called Bush to concede before he didn't. I worry about things so much my neighbor nicknamed me "wart" for worrywart but until I hear the words from Senator Gigolo the cork is staying in the bottle at my house. Waiting for 1:00 PM EST.

My plans to purchase a new laptop have suddenly changed! The other day I opened my browser’s home page to find a new layout. I haven't changed it since purchasing a Sony Vaio Desktop several months back and was use to seeing updates about Sony products and systems. New was a layout advertising a variety of Sony products including DVD movies currently for sell and those pending release that you could pre-order direct from Sony entertainment. The second or third title was the "documentary" Fahrenheit 9/11. Before that time, I had not connected my computer purchase with Sony entertainment, and...

Simple yes or no poll, please respond: Being from Southern California, third generation, which is almost unheard of at my age unless your heritage goes back to the days of Spanish Rule, I have felt the current situation regarding illegal immigration has reached a head, not just here, but across the Country in every major city. I want to find out how others feel about the importance of this subject, or if it is still only a concern in the border states.Do you feel the number of illegal immigrants in this Country is a major problem? Please answer with yes or...

Fearful that Border Patrol sweeps in the Inland Empire and Escondido will spread to the San Fernando Valley, some undocumented residents are enlisting legal residents to help them carry out daily chores, immigrant advocates said Wednesday. Latinas who used to shop at local supermarkets after walking their children to school are now relying on one or two women with green cards to run the errands for them. Read the story at Fearful that Border Patrol sweeps in the Inland Empire and Escondido will spread to the San Fernando Valley, some undocumented residents are enlisting legal residents to help them carry...

When President Bush addressed the Nation a few week ago "to get the message out" about Iraq, I wasn't surprised that none of the networks carried it. After all, they could reduce it to a few sound bites and minimize its importance. I watched the address on Fox News but in the spirit of being "fair and balanced," I quickly switched when it was over to see how CNN would report the event. I believe Bush's speech lasted about twenty minutes. CNN spent the next THREE HOURS criticizing it! With the help of political experts such as Madeline Albright, Ann Richards,...

After you let Tom Daschle know what you think of his critisizing the President's efforts, let the people that elected him know what you think! Use this link to contact a the editors of the newspapers in the state of South Dakota: clipping@sdna.com After you send your comments, copy them here to inspire others to action. How many of you contributed to the RNC during the last election? This man Jeffords took our money under false pretense. He used RNC money and ran as a Republican, not a RINO. Any lawyers up for a class action suit?

The last administration sold our most vital defense secrets to China while that countries generals were threatening to nuke our west coast. After demoralizing our mility to a point lower than any in recent history they decided the way to fix moral was to provide the prized symble of the Army Rangers to every enlisted man, women and clerk. In order to speed up procurement, special rules were used to avoid laws requiring the U.S. manufacture of these berets. China in now contracted to provide the berets a cost of seven dollars, one dollar more than our manufactures would have ...

The headline of an article reciently posted on Free Rebublic reads: Florida Democrat flees to Australia to escape political persecution by Janet Reno. The auther, John MacGregor had the story published on the website www.theage.com. (Link to Story) If it were not for Jim Robinson, and the tool he’s named FreeRepublic, this story about the abuse of government power that alegidly was unleashed on one of our citizens would remain unknown to many, if not all. What I am telling you is that unless stories like this are brought to the publics attention, the battle we have fought to have ...

Here's one to start it off... An air conditioning contractor working at the White house overheard something he shouldn't have, and met an untimely death. Now, he being a good person all his life and never voting for clinton, he was surprised to say the least, to find out he ended up in hell. Not knowing that this was mistake, he decided that if this was where he was supposed to spend eternity he would just try and make the best of it. Being the good person that he was and seeing how miserable and hot everybody was down there, ...

The President had been on a trip to Arkansas and bought a gift for his wife and daughter. When he returned to the Whitehouse he had the gifts, two potbelly pigs, under each arm. He proudly showed them to the Marine guard on the lawn and said with a smile, "look wha I got fer Hill and Chelsey!" The Marine took a look and replied,"looks like you made a good trade."

I'm sorry if this is not posted in the right spot. Please pull if necessary. Don't stop with just calling the Florida Legislature. Call your own representatives and beg them to contact Florida. This whole country is in this up to its neck in this and on the very edge. Each state needs to implore Florida to put a stop to this. While you're at it call at least four others and have them do the same!

Just how much presure does it take to punch out a chad? How easy is it to dimple it with out puching it out? Are the punchcards in Florida actually punched out by the voter or by a machine that registers where the voters "pin" was poked? In a Country where the news agencies report details such as the color of the scarf Elean is wearing I find it stange that these facts haven't been investigated or reported. Anybody from Florda have some answers?

Steven Ambrose wrote in his 1997 brilliant history of WWII, "Citizen Soldiers", about General Patton’s trip across the Rhine: Patton walked across a pontoon bridge built by his engineers. He stopped in the middle. While every GI in the immediate area who had a camera took his picture, he urinated into the Rhine--a long, high steady stream. As he buttoned up, Patton said, "I've waited a long time to do that. I didn't even piss this morning when I got up so I would have a really full load. Yes, sir, the pause that refreshes." If the Florida State Supreme ...

Why hasn't California counted its absentee ballots? Unlike Florida, all of California's absentee ballots needed to be mailed early enough so that they would arrive before 8:00 PM election day. Could it be that Gov. Grey Davis and the democRAT controlled state legislature is dragging it heels in order to delay news that President Elect Bush is also the winner of the popular vote. Have they been trying to sway public opinion towards algore? California’s absentee ballots are “punch out” type designed to be machine counted. What could be taking so long?
