Since the Zika virus has been detected in my area, I was concerned about my dogs. Here's what a quick search revealed. I didn't do an extensive search, but I'd welcome additional info if someone has.

What??? It's already minutes into the debate and Trump is not yet winning the Drudge online poll! How can this be? Surely Trumpsters are sitting at the ready to weigh in on Trump. Where is this 100% accurate, scientific poll? He's usually winning by now.

Trump was able to keep this film from coming to light when it was filmed 25 years ago. It's not hard to see why he wanted it kept under wraps. It shows what an unprincipled, dishonest, cruel, opportunistic individual he is. This film will require an investment of your time (1 hour 20 minutes). That doesn't seem like an unreasonable amount of time to investigate someone who aspires to be the president of the United States. I even recommend that you view it twice (a few days apart) so that you will pick up on some of the things you...

I have an ink hog Canon MG5220. Not only do I get dull colors and muddy resolution when I print, the cartridges don't last worth squat. I don't use that much color in my printing, yet it seems like I'm always running out of one color or another. The replacement package of ink tanks is about $60, so I have decided to look for a printer that doesn't drink the ink. I would prefer to spend less than the cost 2 packages of replacement cartridges (>$120). I want color integrity so that what I'm seeing on my computer screen is...

President Carter, I’m truly sorry you are having such terrible health challenges at the end of your life. I have watched my husband die from melanoma and my uncle die from liver cancer. It’s certainly no walk in the park. I thought it was brave of you to call a press conference today and speak boldly and honestly about your condition and prognosis. You handled yourself so well in discussing the things that are likely going to be ending your life. Compassion toward you and your family for the road ahead filled my heart. And then came the following exchange:...

I recently took my desktop to the geek store for repair. Everything was fixed except that I think they changed a setting on it that I depend on quite often -- my browsing history. Can someone please explain to me how to turn on my browsing history? I would like for it to go back for at least 4 weeks. I use Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7. I'd really appreciate the help.

I don't currently have an antivirus program on my computer due to very tight finances. I've been holding my breath hoping that I wouldn't have an incident before I can afford to download or update an antivirus program. I used to have Kaspersky, and lately it has been popping up with an alert that I have a Trojan horse. The local computer geek people recommended Kaspersky when they worked on my computer a few years ago, so that's why I was using it. Since then, they have worked on my friend's computer and told her that she didn't really need...

I was hoping to find a ping list for us heretical climate deniers. Does one exist?

This is a blast from the past. Substitute a few different names and it's déjà vu all over again. ;) Enjoy!

In their descriptions of the various programs on the fair and balanced network, they try to sell Shep as a hard-news guy. I've even heard him allude to that characterization concerning himself. I don't generally watch his show because he comes across as an arrogant little fart, but the times I have watched have caused me to scratch my head at the claim that he's a true (neutral) news reporter. I found it extremely unprofessional when, during the Blagojevich era, he always used the phrase "Planet Blago" to introduce those segments. He seemed quite amused with himself as his expression...

A dog that went missing in New York more than two years ago turned up alive and well this week — in Florida. According to Giuseppe DiBella, his 6-month-old toy fox terrier, Nika, vanished from the backyard of his Newburgh, New York, home in May 2012. “It was one of the most horrible days of my life,” DiBella told New York's CBS 2. DiBella spent a year searching...

What does it mean when someone on YouTube adds you to their circle? I'm not familiar with this person. I don't participate in circles and am unclear how they work. Social media is creepy to me, so I don't participate in any of it. I hate GooglePlus, but I had to sign onto it in order to continue to participate on YouTube. Now I'm creeped out when some stranger puts me in their circle. Am I justified in my paranoia or is it harmless when someone does that? Does my YouTube name show up somewhere where I have no control...

My former co-worker just called me for help in naming a country music song. I don't listen to today's country music that much, so I couldn't help her, but I'm sure one of my FReeper FRiends can. She said the song had something in the lyrics about grandma having dementia or Alzheimer's and having to refer back to 1942(ish) for something she can remember. Or something like that. Does anyone know what song that might be and who the artist is? TIA. :)

Life Portrait of Ronald Reagan (C-Span video) It's been 10 years since President Reagan went home to be with the Lord. I remember watching every minute of the coverage after he passed. I was looking for the video when Brian Lamb visited the Reagan ranch. Although this is from the ranch it's not the one I was looking for. If anyone can find that video, please post it to this thread.

A blast from the past that puts this VA mess in perspective. It sheds light on why Shinseki's and Zero's underwhelming "outrage" rang so hollow. Not to be too conspiratorial, but one almost has to wonder if the worsening dysfunction of the VA was all part of a bigger scheme and many deaths that have so "enraged" Shinseki and Zero were simply collateral damage.

Brief press conference from last year when Trey Gowdy indicted the media for their failure in covering the Benghazi attack. Worth a watch. BTW, out of curiosity ... how many of us are motivated to post our complaints about the media here on FR or complain in conversations with others about the feckless media, yet never write letters* or emails or make phone calls to the media to call them out for abrogation of journalistic duty? Can we help stir up some sense of responsibility to inform the public if we constantly nudge them? *Personally, I think a letter is...

Don't laugh at us old folk. Our data bases are full, so we can't retain what we don't use like we once could. My friend and I need some help from some of you mathematically inclined FReepers. Problem: Mike's sales goal last year was $90,071. His employer increased it to $124,111 this year. What percentage of increase is this, and how did you arrive at the answer? Thanking y'all in advance. :)
