I refer Free Republic members to the Canada Post article of 27th August 2004 posted on this site and the large response in the forum.

The Canada Post article referred to new suspicions that the downing of that flight was the work of Abderraouf Jdey a suspected terrorist, and indicated he was suspected of taking a small bomb onto that flight.

What was not written about, and what I believe you could say has been suppressed in the general media is that the 12th of November 2001 was the 4th Anniversary of the conviction of Ramzi Yusef in New York of the original World Trade Centre bombing. (See NY Times Excerpt)

I read an article in the Australian Financial Review (www.afr.com) by Paul Monk on the 2nd November 2001(titled "why didn't we think of that"), that referred to the significance of dates in terrorism. Specifically it referred to Ramzi Yusef and the significance of September 11th in the legal processes going on in New York to convict him. After reading the article with some fascination, I did some research and found that another potentially significant date was 12th November 1997 when Yusef was convicted for the WTC bombing. When I awoke in Australia on the morning of 13th November 2001 in Australia to the news that AA587 had gone down in Queens on 12th November 2001, I was saddened but not surprised. For several weeks I tried to get someone/anyone in the media to report the significance of the Ramsi Yusef conviction date coincidence, and it appeared no-where.

It was in seeking to share this story with a new colleague that I have today done an internet search on Flight 587 and came up with the Canada Post story on the Free Republic website.

I felt the need to once again try to share the connection between flight 587 and Ramzi Yusef's conviction on 12th November 1997.
