But to claim to be a medal of honor winner is repugnant to me, and I’d just as soon have a firing squad at dawn. /hyper

I totally agree with you about the First Amendment problems in the "Stolen Valor Act" per se; but since the MOH comes with a stipend and other government benefits, I think you could construct a law, similar to laws against impersonating an active duty soldier, or Federal Official, that would pass Constitutional muster.

Sounds like the Democrats are getting ready to drop an illegal vote bomb. They always accuse the GOP of “fraud” or “voter suppression” before they start stuffing the ballot boxes.

If they had used this capability strictly to collect intelligence information, and refrained from blabbing about it, who knows what they might ultimately have discovered (names, locations, program status). But since the man-child never had any intention of using overt force, it was more politically expedient to score a temporary “victory” with STUXNET, rather than collecting targeting data for later on.

According to Odierno, about 90 percent of senior Army infantry officers have gone to the school and are qualified as Rangers. Allowing women to go to Ranger school, he said, would allow them to be competitive with their male counterparts as they move through the ranks. Sounds like Ray knows which side his bread's buttered on. There may be a few triathlete type women who could make it through Ranger School (assuming allowances were made for field hygiene and sanitation issues, and they doubtless will be), but "allowing women (or one-armed trans-gendered Croats, for that matter) to be competitive with their male counterparts" is not why we have a Ranger School, or a military for that matter.

  • Why does President Obama take so much credit for killing Bin Laden?

Why does President Obama take so much credit for killing Bin Laden? In this case the simple answer is that anything that takes the focus off the economy, albeit for a short time and at a political risk of being seen as "spiking the football", is a good thing for Obama; and, in fact, it seems to be working.

Also... I have to express BS detection in this cheerleader CNN article.

Your BS detector is working just fine. A cursory check of MS Kavilanz "credentials" reveals two interesting facts: she Journalism major, not an economist; she is reported to have been "excoriated" by a senior CNN writer for making up a quote by a "doctor" about his salary. In other words, just another "I wanna change the world" left-biased (but "balanced") reporterette.

Does anyone actually believe that if Romney got over 1,000 votes, but fell short of 1,144, the delegates at the convention (also known as the “Republican Establishment”) would award the nomination to Ricky or Newt, or even some as yet unnamed (and unvetted) dark horse? I don’t like the SOB (Mitt) either, but if he gets to 1,000 before the convention, it’s time for the other candidates to make their platform demands, and step aside.

George Will is every Liberal’s favorite conservative. He’ll concede any point (”for the sake of the argument”) so that he can make his point, which is so hopelessly diluted by polite and scholarly language (with a few arcane anecdotes thrown in) that by the time he gets to it, you wonder why he bothered. Little wonder he’s lasted so long on that ABC Sunday show.

Bill O’Reilly definitely lit a fire under MS (sounds like) “Fluck” this evening. Without specifically referring to Rush or the big “controversy”, he endorsed the view that we the people (or any insurance company) should not have to pay for Fluke's lifestyle choices. O’Reilly may not always be “looking out for you” (or us), but I would say he had Rush's back on this issue.

Of course Obama’s scared. He has his own internal polling that doubtless contradicts a lot of the (Democrat-leaning) public pollsters. Like the quote ascribed to Stalin, “it’s not who votes that counts, it’s who counts the votes”, most of the public pollsters are going to give Barack an additional five percent bias factor right up until the last week or so of the election (and even the “impartial” or “Republican-leaning” pollsters will adjust their polls so as not to be dubbed, “outliers”). Let us all be happy warriors, and vote.

Why would Don Nickles (R-OK) and Dana Rohrabacher join the Democrats in trying to fix something that wasn't and isn't broken?

Because they didn't want to derail the "McCain Train" to GOP victory in '08. And how did that work out for 'em?

Co-sponsors of the failed legislation were Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama!. By the way, was not the John McCain eligibility hearing really a head fake to draw attention away from the Democrats’ elephant in the room?

And how long did it take this joker to figure that one out. Of course it was a head fake; that and the whole "birth certificate issue" were both massive head fakes designed to divert attention from the real issue of whether someone with a foreign parent (also known as a "dual citizen", a British citizen in this case) could ever be be a "natural born citizen" when the Constitutional "NBC" provision was aimed squarely at Brits who might pop out a "Manchestrian Candidate" for President with the intent of reattaching the US to the Crown.

I call BS. Missiles’ parameters are no secret. Every idiot who has radar and ELINT capabilities is able to measure any possible aspect during tests.

Well said. Sounds like you have some background in SIGINT. Unfortunately it was Ronnie Reagan (AKA "GOD" in some precincts) who first offered to share ABM specs with the Russkis, a fact that the Traitor in Chief will no doubt point out too his critics (i.e. the difference between naivete, in Reagan's case, and treason in Al Obama's case).

For pure 2012 political reasons, the Obama Regime is trying to time the moment for a preemptive strike (or, as TOTUS would see it, the moment for the super-duper penultimate sanctions) down to the proverbial gnat’s ass. That is why he gambled (and lost) some of our latest intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance technology to placate the Israelis. The problem is that since the Iranians will soon have both the weapon (i.e. a nuclear device) and now the delivery system (i.e. stealth aircraft), the time for dawdling is long past.

Some commies set out to “prove” that “income inequality” in the US today is greater than in any country at any time in world history. Not unsurprisingly this statistical analysis cum manipulation takes place at a time when a certain political party, under fire for the near-ruination of the US economy, is attempting a Soviet-style diversionary attack on the “wealthy US plutocrats”. So much for the “scientific method”, but since we’re all living in the real world, how many millions of people around globe would still rather be living in “poverty” in the US of A, even in the midst of Obamanomics and our horrible income inequality, than the crap-holes in which they find themselves. When the Mexican illegals go home voluntarily and the Russian/Asian/Latin American women stop looking for US mates, maybe then we can worry about income inequality.

Good question. If the Israeli Government perceives him as an enemy (and I'm not at all sure that's the case) he could wind up like another naturalized American renegade, Gerry Bull.
