Sep 25, 11:17 AM (ET) NEW YORK (AP) - CBS News has shelved a "60 Minutes" report on the rationale for war in Iraq because it would be "inappropriate" to air it so close to the presidential election, the network said on Saturday. The report on weapons of mass destruction was set to air on Sept. 8 but was put off in favor of a story on President Bush's National Guard service. The Guard story was discredited because it relied on documents impugning Bush's service that were apparently fake.

Okay, folks- the memos are fake. back to the real issues. On 9/12/01, I expected President Bush to take America to war against our enemies. I was(just)young enough to enlist then. I expected the President to call for a general mobilizaton, and ask all able-bodied men and women to enlist for the duration of the conflict. I expected the United States to immediately transition from a peacetime economy to a wartime economy. And I hoped our forces would hunt down and kill our enemies wherever they are found, without regard for international borders or international opinion. I'm still waiting. Too...
