Wisconsin Education Association Trust, a not-for-profit health insurance company created by the state's largest teachers union. The union trust is doing this in a bid to retain its dominant position as the state government's largest health care insurance provider. The funds in question derive from the much-maligned Early Retiree Reinsurance Program. Obamacare created ERRP as a taxpayer-funded subsidy intended to lower the cost of early retiree health care. Instead, the Obama administration has used ERRP funds to give political payback to preferred special interest groups. Top ERRP recipients include the United Auto Workers ($206.8 million), state governments and government unions...

Navy Times is reporting that besides screwing over retirees in the 2012 Defense budget, Congress approved Fags marrying on base. We were busying arguing over who one the budget battle and our Tea Party Consrvative Congress slip us one in the rear. If this were a war heterosexuals have lost, defeated by our own Quislings in Congress. Every day in the military we are bombarded with gay love stories. How in Gods name did we ever win a war without the butt pirates and carpet munchers. There are no conservatives left in American politics. They give fags whatever they want....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The top lawmakers on the Senate's defense panel on Friday recommended that a special committee searching for ways to slash the deficit consider some of President Barack Obama's proposed changes to health and retirement benefits for the military. In separate letters to the bipartisan panel, Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., signaled they were open to cost-saving steps in military benefits, recommendations that have already attracted fierce opposition from powerful groups of retired officers and veterans resistant to change. The Pentagon's health care costs have skyrocketed from $19...

Navy Times is reporting that Senator Tom Coburn (R) has a plan to cut DOD by spending by $43 billion. His plan will force retirees off TRICARE Prime (HMO) and into TRICARE Standard (PPO). Then his plan is to raise the fees for standard so high (total out of pocket cost $7,500 annually) "working age" retirees (under 65) will opt out for mythical cheaper medical insurance from some as of yet unidentified employer. While I admit TRICARE Prime is cheap none of Coburn's figures add in Dental, separate plans under TRICARE. As a retiree my wife and I pay out...

These days medical services are more advanced than many people believe, even in developing countries. For example in Latin America or the Caribbean, you will frequently find doctors who have been trained in English in the United States. They are trained to first world standards, and work with first world equipment, but this quality care costs a fraction of what it would in the US. Hence the growth in medical tourism......The thing I like about the CitizenSecure series is the flexibility. First of all, it's available to citizens of all countries of the world who are at least age 14...
  • Landrieu to Vote to Begin Debate (blames Jindal)

Landrieu defended the inclusion of the provision and said Republican critics who accuse her of selling her vote for $100 million are wrong and that she has the support of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. “I will correct something. It’s not $100 million, it’s $300 million, and I’m proud of it and will keep fighting for it,” Landrieu told reporters after her floor speech. “But that is not why I started this health care debate; I started this health care debate for all the reasons I just mentioned in my statement” on...
